The Shadow and Bone trilogy is one incredible series!! This is one of the rare series that makes me like the villain more than some of the heroes!! I also shipped him with the main heroine of the story even though I knew I would go down with this ship!! I loved Alina and the rest of the gang and I kind of feel like the friendship that developed between Alina and Zoya is completely underrated given the way they started. The way Leigh Bardugo has built her fictional world is so facinating and incredible especially the way it continued on to the spin-off books Six of Crows and King of Scars Duology. (I am dying to read Rule of Wolves and the third installment of Six of Crows that Leigh Bardugo said she'll write!!)
I’m currently about halfway through Siege and Storm and I think Nikolai might be my favourite fictional character ever. He’s certainly in my top 10. He’s just so fascinating, well crafted and his unpredictability is marvellous for the reader!
Ehhh. This trilogy is fine, Nikolai saved it in my opinion. Six of crows is ten times better, I think.
I had to DNF it halfway through the second book. I think I’ll read SoC because people say it’s way better.
Yea, I can understand that. You should totally try SOC its so good, and there is all new characters. Well some from shadow and bone are in it, but for the most part it’s all new characters
S&B is something I wouldn't really recommend :\
SOC and CK is 10000% better
SOC and CK is 10000% better
it's okay but not as great as so many people make it out to be. nikolai is the true light of this book, and alina is a very plain protagonist. six of crows is better any day. i just read this to watch the show.
