The third book of this 19th century romance series features the third sister, Poppy. Also features the further adventures of Dodger the ferret. Now that’s a plot device I haven’t seen before; a cute meet involving a mischievous ferret. Unfortunately the ‘meet’ wasn’t actually very cute. (view spoiler)[How could anyone end up being attracted to a man who nearly strangles you the first time you meet? (hide spoiler)] Somehow, Poppy was attracted to Harry. Finally, through much overwrought drama, she both loved and trusted him. I’m not convinced.

I still enjoy the quirky Hathaways as a family. The ferret is a fun addition and Rosalyn Landor is always entertaining for the hours of the audiobook. I have the next one ready to go.
