Morgan gets punched by her client in the middle of the courtroom. ADA Esposito comes to her aid and later doesn’t miss an opportunity to take accolades for it. What do you make of him? Were you surprised he intervened or would anyone have done that?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I don't know what to make of this character. I think anyone would intervene if they were close enough to stop MacFarland from kicking Morgan. But true to form, he brags about himself to the press. I didn't know what to think when he drove past Eliza and Haley's house later in the book. When Morgan said that he lived further down the road from them, I still didn't know what to think.

I don’t know what to make of him either. Esposito has some serious character flaws and he’s an evolving puzzle. When he showed up in the neighborhood, I got extremely suspicious.

We haven’t closed the book yet on this guy. I smell a rodent under that Armani suit.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Me too, Jonetta. I think his biggest flaw is that he can't stand to lose. He doesn't see Morgan as opposing council; he sees her as the enemy.

That’s a great point, Robin.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Yes to all your comments above. I think he has some really good instincts and cares, but he sure has a weird way to show it. And the fact that he can't stand to lose.........

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Even a complete jerk can do something right on occasion.

I think he acted on impulse here and his true narcissistic nature came out afterward.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9278 comments Mod
I fear you’re right, Lauren.

Charlene, that drive to not lose is bigger than his desire to win, if that makes sense.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with all of you. Esposito is a jerk but it is hard to stand by and watch a colleague get beat up.

It was an easy call, even for someone like Esposito.
