Laura Dragon (dragonette) | 9 comments I'll think I will attempt a "Purring" level for 2021. To begin with, I know that Molly Fitz was recommended by several of you. I went to order her Merlin The Magical Fluff on my Kindle and what a wonderful surprise, it is on a special today for .99 cents. I downloaded it and can't wait to start reading it tonight.

Laura Dragon (dragonette) | 9 comments #1 Merlin The Magical Fluff - a delightful story where the twist is that the feline is the magician and the human is the familiar. Not heavy on the murder mystery angle, more thorough in the "getting to know" the characters.

Laura Dragon (dragonette) | 9 comments #2 Faux Paw by Sofie Kelly This series is like drinking hot chocolate: warm, comforting and very sweet. I love her 2 kitties and their special powers but mostly the small town charm of the Librarian, her detective boyfriend and the friendship of the women.

Laura Dragon (dragonette) | 9 comments #3 Purrs and Perils by Jinty Jam. Very simple cozy mystery. No special powers for this cat. She’s just a loyal companion to a cafe owner.

Laura Dragon (dragonette) | 9 comments #4 & #5 Paws and Effect + A Tale of Two Kitties both by Sofie Kelly. I am really enjoying this series of a small town librarian with her two formerly feral feline companions. The murderer is never too obvious and the characters are really well written. I’m eagerly looking forward to when she has to explain her cats special abilities to her police detective boyfriend. Said boyfriend’s cat may have a special power as well.

Laura Dragon (dragonette) | 9 comments #8 Cat of The Century by Rita Mae Brown. I love these Mrs. Murphy mysteries. This one featured 2 fabulous elderly ladies aged 98 and 100. It was wonderful to have these women portrayed as fun, vibrant and still relevant. The interaction between the cats, dogs, horses and the possum is so sweet and gives a nice flavor of life on a farm.

Laura Dragon (dragonette) | 9 comments #9 Two Tailed Trouble by Jinty James. Another installment in the Norwegian Cat Cafe cozy mysteries. This one involves the Senior Center and the greedy landlord who wants to knock it down. I enjoyed the several elderly characters and here’s a new plot twist; the brake lines on a woman’s walker get cut! Thoroughly enjoyable.
