There’s a moment when Kevin Dawson refers to Isobel as a possible “whore” and Kim lights into him. What is the significance of what he did and Kim’s reaction?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Unfortunately I think people and possibly more so men can be very judgmental of women in this profession. Good on Kim for pulling him up on it, hopefully giving him something to think about. Given what he know about Kevin Dawson he doesn't have a very good attitude to women in general which has been evidenced by his previous behaviour throughout the series so far. Hope we see some significant growth in his character as the series progresses.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Kevin sometimes sticks his foot in his mouth. I'm glad Kim put him in his place. I hope he learns from it. He can be a good cop when he wants to, but he seems to have blinders or a lack of maturity that is needed for the job.

Here she’s trying to impress upon him that people are more than the work they do. By labeling her a whore, Kevin reduced her to nothing else. He’s growing but his view of women could use some polishing.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments Dawson is a work in progress. It's a good think that he has Kim to run roughshod over him. Kim wants him to see every case as a victim and that's it. It doesn't matter what their profession or circumstance in life.

It made me think back to the Sebastian St. Cyr series. Sebastian wants justice for all, even though most of the establishment only care about the people in the ruling class.
