Hi! Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. My dad went through surgery and I have been taking care of him. I haven’t been reading except for school but I should have another book done
I hope your dad is doing well!!!!!No worries about keeping up the reading. We all will do what we can, and sometimes real life is just more important.

My dad is definitely feeling better now. The surgery was last week. I’m still feeling a little down for other reasons (mostly having to do with the pandemic) so I haven’t felt like reading which sucks. Thank you for being so understanding though
I am sorry to hear that IIsen but I am glad that he is doing better now. I can understand how you are feeling as my dad had a few surgeries last year and it just wipes you out. Especially with the changing protocols due to the pandemic. The most important thing is to take care of yourself and your family. Let us know if you need anything!

In the captains' thread, there have been some titles bandied about that have things like leg warmers and headbands in them, so if we get stuck, I will list them here to see if anyone wants to grab a random title or two.

Just checking- for the mini challenge we have to pick whether to do A4a or A4b, which would everyone prefer to do?
It looks like someone grabbed a book from the second list, so let's just go with that one. My two cents, anyway.
Can you list those titles here? I can always see if the audio versions are available and I could listen at times when a book is just not possible.

Did any of you watch Gremlins? I am trying to think of a way to link a book to our movie, but I am ashamed to say that I did not watch it during Uno. Anyone?
I will. I was thinking of reading it for 0 red but I need to make sure I have enough time to finish the books I have listed. I may move some things around again. :) I have updated April and the mini to reflect my adds. I did not watch Gremlins during the challenge. I am reading Sorcery of Thorns and was wondering if there was any way that the Grimoires could somehow be used? I am not the far along to be able to tell what they actually do in the story.
If anyone reads a book where there is "multiplying" of any kind I would think that could work.
I was thinking that if I run into a character named Phoebe or Cates, that could work. Or if someone snacked after midnight. Or, damn it has been too long since I saw this movie, does throwing water on someone do something? Phoenix throws water on Saaed. Sort of.
Since the film came out in 1984 we could also use a book with a 1984 copyright date. Or a book where anyone receives a strange creature as a pet? I feel like this could be a lot of YA or MG fantasy books.
And yes, if they get wet that's how they multiply.
I'm reading one where one of the MC has a raven as a pet, a Raven he took out of one of his dreams and brought into real life...could that work?

We are almost done with this year's Uno. I have found books for the remaining color covers, and it looks like we can fill out the rest of the unclaimed cards with the books at the bottom of the spreadsheet that have not been put in slots.
So, that leaves us the mini-challenge.
Can all of you check to see if you can grab any of the mini challenge tasks please?
Also, keep filling out the blank slots on the main page if you finish a book that fits. We don't need to use the ones at the bottom.

seems red enough, but I don't remember character names. I can find another reverse if that one can be moved.
And, I just remembered that this book which I am reading is red enough, and will work for either.
If I can read well this week with the books pledged to finish so far, I'll be able to look more thoroughly at the mini challenge this weekend.
I’ll look at mini challenge too, I might be able to sneak in another couple books too and claim some blank ones just not sure yet!
If you can move one over to my 9 red I can pick up One Fell Sweep for the shoulder pads prompt. I may be able to pick up more but need to make it through 4 more books and should have a good idea by this weekend where I stand.

I keep hearing about Murderbot. Is it that good?
I enjoyed it! It's a really quick read as it's only about 149 pages. I think by the end of the series Murderbot may end up being one of my all time favorite characters. I am waiting on the rest of the series to arrive because obviously that cliffhanger of an ending........

It might be easier, yes. The end of Uno is April 30. I will try to find the countdown.
I am on target to finish all of the books on the spreadsheet. I will have a few finished by tomorrow hopefully. I left my dang kindle in another car after my trip to Asheville yesterday so I need to go pick that up asap.
