Yay and double Yay and triple Yay!!!!!!!!Do you have time to start that book now-ish? Was there anyone else who wanted to do a buddy read?

I sent in the guesses, and two were wrong, but, I figured out the right ones, and we are all good now. We get all the bonus points for that, so yay team!
Now, we just need to read a bunch of books.
Please feel free to grab spots on the mini-challenge, and we are missing some color cards (Yellow) and a couple of Wild Draw 4s for the Uno hand, so check your books to see if any of them are ones you all can cover.

I can start this weekend? I have three reads happening right now so I would like to at least wrap up 2 of those first. :)
A different thread would probably be best so we don't annoy or give spoilers to the rest of the team. :)
How do you go about doing a buddy read? Via zoom? or in person if you live close enough? I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl.

Started reading The Hunting Party tonight- this can work for yellow 3 as a wild card 4 I think. However I wasn't sure if 2 wild draw 4s could be used both for yellow 3? A wild card 4 for this particular colour card has been used in another hand :)

Hi Dawn! You can take the spot of WD4 for the 3 yellow. I am 75% sure that the book I started last night will be able to go in to either the 5 or 7 yellow spot.

Another busy day at work, so i will answer other questions when I get home. That one was easy though...
That also looks black and white to me! If not, I cannot think of any other book that would be a more perfect fit.

Okay I totally missed the music guessing trivia part, I thought you guys were talking about books! Ha! Where were these trivia questions? Ah well!
I will try to be more explicit about where to find the rules for the mini-challenges for next month. I did post a link to the rules when they came out. At least you were spared the endless searching through 80's videos, and skipped the brain worms that resulted from those searches. teehee

I probably just overlooked it and assumed the book list was it. I might have only looked on phone and my laptop is better for goodreads. My fault! I do have a book that is about a punk band that started in the 80s too actually!
Let me know if anyone wants to cover my 2 green. I can read another book to fit the mini challenge if I moved that card off my plate. If not, I have no problem still reading it. :)

Just finished 'A Monster Calls'... I'm not sure I had any expectations starting this book but I was not expecting that. Could not put it down, been such a long time since a book has moved me in a big way like that. Literal tears down my face down the end, but it was so beautifully done. A book that will stay with me a long time for sure
Wow those are tricky books to find! Eclipse the twilight book I bet will be a popular one for that. I've read it before but not in awhile. Good times!

In looking for books to cover the tasks, I ran across one that clearly shows that some men should not have long hair...
Yay!I found books for all of the remaining tasks. So, if anyone needs a free recommendation from KU or Audible Plus, all but the perm one are on those platforms. Let me know if you want me to list what I found.

Jenny all I can think of when I hear men with long hair is Fabio. I do have a book to fit the leather jacket task. I still have a few books left to read so I will let you know by Thursday if I have time to pick it up.
I used to work in a book store, and every time a new Fabio book came out (remember that he "wrote" books too?), I did a dramatic reading of at least the opening scene for the staff and whatever lucky customers were there that day. Not sure I helped his sales much. teehee

Working full time now and a part-time online college student so plate is full but I'm still reading, and my goal is the same, I want to do minimum of 4 a month. I'm behind my goal for the year but I will get back on track. Mid May to Mid August I won't have classes so I'm hoping to really get ahead during the summer. Hope everyone is doing well.

Ok, check your books. We need a 7 Yellow, a Reverse, and 2 Wild Draw 4s, which can be any of these- 0 Blue, 7 Blue, 4 Red, 5 Red, 1 Yellow, 5 Yellow or 7 Yellow.

I can also take the leather jacket prompt as I should have time to read
this weekend.
