Do you want us to start plugging in what we can read?
I am only 180 pages in to The Starless Sea Jenny. Do you think this prompt will end up working for this book: 13. Read a book where a fictional character ends up in real life or where a real life character gets transported into a book?
I added a column (I) to write down if a book fits more than one task.

Thanks Phez! He was diagnosed with a tumor sitting right on his nose in October and they gave him a few months. He ended up sticking around for 5 so I am happy to have had the time to spend cuddling him. :)

But, what's his name does end up in a fictional world of sorts, right?

I believe that's what's happening but if I am honest, the book is pretty dang fluffy and confusing.
I was able to plug in a few that I am either currently reading or am set to read by the EOM.
I plan to enter some in tonight as well.
I added a list at the bottom of the mini tab to list ideas for the song and artist, so we don't give them away here.If any of the ones I listed you think are wrong, then go ahead and change them, or put your idea to the right.
I did find a book that has the Meg Ryan's hair reference, and there it was on my bookshelf, sitting unread since I bought it years ago. So, don't go crazy trying to find one. You can disregard the portion of task #23 that mentions Meg Ryan's hair, and just look for a book with a perm.

Also, task 31 will be changed from Detective Fiction to Mystery or Mystery-Detective MPG .

Hi Checking in. wondering if March has cards as well or just the challenge. I can't find a spreadsheet for it. I read Bad ass habits by Jen Sincero if that can fit anywhere, will be finishing The year of less by Cait Flanders next.
Hi Dafna. The March cards are on the tab March 2. It should be the first tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

They don't have to, if you read a book that fits a card, but not the mini, that is fine, and vice versa.

Angela, I am so sorry about your cat. I lost 2 last year and it never gets easier.

I've been slacking on reading, but hopefully, I'm going to pick up the pace this weekend and also try to find some things for the mini-challenge. I'm currently reading The Gilded Ones that I got in my OwlCrate box and I'm really liking it, which is odd because I'm super burned out of YA books. I feel like most are just carbon copies of each other.

HELP!!!!!!!"I've read through your guesses and agree with 4, 7, 13, 16, 25, 34, 37, 40 and 43. The others I haven't heard of but possibly because I'm a 90s child. Your guesses make sense with the book selections so they look like they would be correct so would be happy to go with it.

Are you guys frantically looking through your piles of books for a leather jacket, or a bird, for a guitar on the cover?
I have found short books on KU for most of the tasks, so if we stall out finding books, I will list out what I found for anyone to grab. Or, read like a fiend toward the end of the month. Either way is good.
I spent some "coffee" time this morning and made some guesses on the spreadsheet. That was kind of fun and I have no idea how close I even came. :)
I've got an 80s music playlist blasting through the house to try to help! I agree that the guesses so far make sense :)Can 1 book be used for multiple tasks in the mini challenge? For example, I'm currently reading Crow garden at the moment, the MC is a Doctor and there is a bird on the front cover (26)

Only one task per book, alas. But, the book can also be used for a regular Uno card.
I just looked at the guesses, and wow!Just to be clear, I am pretty sure that each group of three tasks describes one song, not one song per task.
Now I have Too Shy stuck in my head. I had that album, and if I remember right, all of the rest of the songs sucked pretty badly.
Haha! That’s what I originally thought and then saw them broken out by lines so I thought I was wrong. That def makes it easier.
Nicole, the book you marked as finished on the mini-challenge can't count, as the mini doesn't officially start until the 14th, sorry. It will still work for the Uno hand though.

That's what I thought too, however, that it makes it even harder.
I think the songs I highlighted are correct. The ones we are missing are the ones for tasks 1-3, and 10-12.I think.
We got clues from the mods for some songs...task 1 - name of the band
task 2 - title of the song
task 3 - reference to the singer
For 10-12, leopard is a very literal clue!
My brain has come to a screeching halt, so if anyone else has a guess for this two, feel free to attack please.
I found a weird English band, who did Neopagan music, that may fit tasks 1-3 but I think they may be too obscure/not known well enough globally to be them?
I saw the word neopagan before my first sip of coffee. No fair. Put it on the list, who knows?

“If I Disappear” was a great book, a different style but I really got into it halfway through.
Contemp romance is my favorite but I love a good suspense/thriller and if it has a romantic aspect, even better.
Could 1-3 be Queen- A kind of magic?

I´m on the same boat Phez, it´s confusing me too, but I will fit in the books I can, but I must admit I don´t understand the songs part... :/

I think grabbing tasks will be fine. It would be very frustrating to plan a book, and then find that someone else has grabbed that one already.
We have to decide whether we care about any other team visiting our thread and finding out if we have figured out songs and artists.
Personally, I don't care, but if anyone wants to keep things secret, we can PM each other, or chat on the working spreadsheet.
I think I have 8 of the songs figured out so far.
I am old enough to remember all of these songs, after all!
