It took a while for Vern to commit to reading Writers & Lovers by Lily King, but once she started, she devoured the book. "I feel like a hack even trying to describe the feelings it conjured in me." Read the full review on Cannonball Read

hmmm...Jenny Offill is often hard to describe, but I love her work. Punches me in the gut (in a good way?) every time. Loved Writers & Lovers too, and also found it hard to fully describe! If we're talking recommendations and Lily King, though...Euphoria was my favorite book of the last DECADE!

Raven Black (blackraven6913) | 198 comments MAUS was hard to describe. And Speak. RASL was also hard. So many books!! When a book hits me in the "gut" or when it "hurts" it's so charged those are the ones I can't describe well

Katie (faintingviolet) | 44 comments I've had a terrible time describing The Night Circus over the years because the elevator pitch doesn't capture the mood of the book.
