Unstable housing and eviction can lead to traumatic experiences for individuals and families. When people have to spend more than half their income on housing, this fosters concern about how they are expected to cover the cost of other necessary expenses (healthcare, food, transportation, etc.). Mental and physical health are negatively impacted by housing instability.

especially for children not having a sense of a home or an established physical location which may also lead to switching schools often, hard to make long-term friendships affecting possibly social and development skills (?)

I was trying to find a hidden brain episode (podcast) where a women under money constraints and duress wasn't able to think long-term, a common behavior in that situation. She could think what I need to buy now and hard to save up for other needs later on.
