You need to put the name of the book in quotes for an exact match:"Name Of Book" goodreads
Otherwise the various words in your book title will be mixed up with other books. Try it both ways and you'll see. I'm pretty sure Virginia Woolf will dominate the word "lighthouse" for the foreseeable future.
I'm not a "techie" either Shantanu however, my guess is the Google bots have not had time enough or reason enough to find you. Yet. So I suggest you go about liking comments, making friend requests and following other Goodreads members that spark your interest. You will find yourself getting "likes" and "follows" in return. Then, when Google bots crawl all over Goodreads they will have the food they need to rank you in the search engine. Good luck!

Hi Chris and thank you for taking the time to answer my query.
While what you said was exactly what was happening before, it seems with more visits to the page and more reviews, it is now showing up in google search results. Thank you again!

Thank you again!

I am a first time amateur author and just published my first millennial memoir with Harper Collins! So excited!
I absolutely dont know how goodreads works and have been self teaching myself. The big question I have is why doesnt my the goodreads page for my book show up when I type it in google search as "name of book goodreads".
I see that when you type in other book names, not only does it show in the google results but also gives the rating in google search itself like rotten tomatoes or Imdb for movies.
How do I get there :(
I'm sorry if this is a rookie question and annoys you :( Any help is appreciated!
With regards,
Shantanu
