Anyone else invited to the Kindle Challenge?

They did something like that with Audible last year. You just had to listen to 3 books in 3 months, I think.
I haven't heard of that. I wonder if you have to buy a lot of Kindle books from them to be invited. What type of tasks did they want you to do?
There are like 17 tasks, and if you do 4, you get the $5. The first three are reading your Kindle a certain number of days. Others range from finishing a Kindle book, following an author, starting a series, etc. Very simple.
I'm guessing that I didn't get invited because I primarily borrow books from the library with it. I prefer to by a print copy of a book, although I did buy a couple of kindle books last year.
Yes, I received an invitation on my kindle.https://www.amazon.com/kindlechalleng...
The problem is to complete all you need to register a kindle-ereader. I have a fire but not a paperwhite .
I am enrolled. I have completed five so far and it seems fun and easy I'm making a note to remember this one:
Quitters Day - Earn this badge when you read on January 19th - the day most people quit on their New Year's resolutions.
Thanks for the link. Apparently I'm signed up because it's telling me I've read my Kindle 2 days in January. LOL! I'm gonna check out the challenge and see if I can do it.
Anita, I'm glad you did. It seems like an easy way to get a $5 credit towards a new book. Because of my move, I'll be using my Kindle a lot more than previously, so anything will help. LOL!
I have not seen an invite but will check the link. I read using app on a regular tablet and my phone. However, I definitely get notices of how many sequential days I've read on my Kindle so I am surprised I did not get that invite. Oh well.

As my husband would say, "$5 is $5." I am willing to take any discount I can get.
I am reading more kindle books now than i used to, so I should check my emails from them. I read on my laptop or ipad - so maybe I wouldn't qualify anyway. I haven't used my old kindle in years.I just got a $5 bonus for buying something using prime, just before my Prime was to expire.
Thanks BnB for the LInk. I don't remember signing up, but I already earned a badge. Thanks Anita for bringing it up!I have a FIre too - or maybe even an older kindle, and apparently I still qualified. I haven't used it in years, but it's registered.
You CAN get credit for reading library books.
I have 7 badges,
BUT there is no mention on my page of a $5 credit.
Amazon is known for trying out different pricing and promotion variations to see what works best. So maybe some people got this invitation, and some of us got the Prime invitation, and who knows what else.
I'm crushing it! I have every badge except the final two, which aren't available yet. Don't ask me why I can spend money at Target and Costco without batting an eye, but the thought of getting a $5.00 book coupon has me so excited.
I had a Kindle Fire but gave it to my daughter because I read everything on my iPad. So that's probably why I didn't get the ad. Olivermagnus, I so agree with your comment. I am like that with Audible, jumping through hoops to get a 5.00 credit when it is really such a small amount, compared to what I spend on other things or even compared to how much money I give Audible all year. Actually, I think Audible/Amazon operates a lot like a slot machine. Giving people small rewards intermittently encourages participation more than say, giving a one-time discount off a yearly subscription.

Basically you complete a variety of tasks in January, and they give you a $5 ebook credit. Woop-de-do! But I'll take it . . .I guess it will be monthly, so that could be $60 in ebook credit over the course of the year.
It seems pretty achievable.
