One of Us Is Next question

Para mí esta fue una secuela que no era necesaria pero que se sustenta por ella sola. Me gustaría una nueva secuela porque también me parece que sería complicado que la autora pueda hacer que los alumnos puedan caer en una tercera app.

Y seguiría así, metiendo a nuevos personajes pero dejando a los antiguos que aparezcan de vez en cuando.

I think this was a true sequel since the Bayview Four made appearances and were directly connected to the events going on in this book. I'm really looking forward to the sequel and seeing how McManus brings everyone back for another mystery

Yea it's a true sequel, and a good one at that (imo). I don't really think it needs another sequel. But then again, I didn't think One of Us Is Lying needed a sequel. I think book 1 was better than book 2 though, so I'd be worried that a book 3 would continue the trend, seeing as it would probably have repeated themes from the 1st book just like the 2nd book did.
