YA Fantasy. Shapeshifter girl who is heir to a throne is kidnapped, but saved by a female wolf shapeshifter. She's supposed to marry a friend (arranged since birth?). Read 2007-2010. Spoiler ahead.

Okay, so this is a long shot. I read a book when I was in middle school (from 2007-2010) about a female character who was an heir to her people’s’ throne. It involved shapeshifting and I believe she was a shapeshifter herself. I remember a specific scene where she was either kidnapped or attempted to be kidnapped. It was placed in a court with cobblestone ground and a statue in the middle. She was supposed to marry one of her friends (arranged since birth I believe) who was a boy. I then remember that she was rescued by a female wolf shapeshifter who nursed her back to health. I remember that character being particularly shy (?). Then at the end of the book the protagonist ends up walking away from the throne and her to-be husband because she fell in love with the wolf girl.

Some of these details may be off, but that’s the best I can do. I do not remember the cover, names, or author. I do remember it being a fairly short book and I got it from my librarian at my public schools’ library (in a very small school) so it can’t be too elusive. However I cannot find it for the life of me and I really would love to!
