I've owned it for a while, it has good reviews, so if it wins it can be the perfect motivation to pick it up.

The Agony of Bun O'Keefe

Here are the books links for other people.
Here is the link to the group shelf (https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...) when you need to check if we've already read the book as a group. Or you can click Bookshelf from the menu in the upper right of the page.

Why? Because almost every time I ask someone how they originally fell in love with fantasy, their answer involves this book! I've heard it's a really magical modern fantasy classic, very beloved, and only 190 pages. It should also be easily available in libraries, etc.

As long as you nominate the first book of the series, it would apply.

Thanks Dee.
Raya, did you want to nominate something else and save this book for another month?

(You may nominate 1 book - please follow nomination rules - and second as many books as you like. Top 5 books will go to the polls.)
2- The Book of Three (190 pages)
2- Binti (96 pages)
2- Every Heart a Doorway (173 pages)
1- The Agony of Bun O'Keefe (224 pages)

I've owned it for a while, it has g..."
I've had this for AGES. And everyone I know that's read it loves it.

It seems like it is on all the Afrofuturism lists. I hadn't picked out a book for that prompt yet, so thanks for the idea :)
This will be a reread for me.

The February theme (since February is the shortest year of the month) is to choose a YA book/ novella/ or short story that is less than 250 pages long. Please nominate a text considered YA and is not already on the YA-MA BOOK SHELF. Remember the text needs to be available in print form, not just through the web or only available as an ebook. Lastly, since many places are still experiencing COVID shutdowns try to nominate a book that is easily accessible.
Rules Reminder:
- Nomination Period: Starts January 3 and will stay open for 7 days or until we have 4 valid nominations.
- One nomination per member.
- Members may second as many nominations as they wish.
- All nominations need to be classified as YA unless the nominating category specifically allows exceptions.
- Books must be first in a series or a standalone.
- Books must be at least 3 months old.
- Books must be available in print and not just ebook form.
- No author promotions allowed.
- The top 5 nominations will be in the polls.
Next Steps: After nominations, the books will go to a poll for 7 days to determine the winner.
