My author profile has the correct books listd, but once I try to link my personal profile to my author profile, it thinks I am the author of the books, and not the editor or translator. Anyways I have just sent a request to be linked to my author profile, thank you!

Once the author profile is claimed, you won't have to try and link your two profiles, don't worry :)
You are joining the "author program" so they might use this language a bit broadly: you are still listed as editor and translator on those books, everything is as it should, no worries!
