Gosh that’s hard. We asked for a challenge and got a challenge. That’ll learn us! Rules strict too. I’ve gone for 16 but doubt I’ll get there. Btw do I have to read the one linked by the other? Or can I consider my books a few months in and see if they link?
You're very welcome, Jason.
I don't mind which way you do it, Pat. They do not need to be read one after the other, just that there should be a definite link between each book even if there are a few other books in between each challenge book

Whew. That sounds easier. Thank you. Interesting challenge. Amazing you can think of this when you are exhausted. I would just be totally mind numb. Thank you sooo much. Anything we others can do just tell us. You take care lovely.
Nice challenge Paul, thank you. Lockdowns have really disrupted my reading mojo and I’m hoping challenges like this will help me pick it up again. I’m currently working out a list of connected books in advance of reading them and will then dot them in amongst other titles through the year. I do have a question (sorry, I know you’re busy): to meet the challenge conditions is it necessary to read my listed books in the order they appear on my list, or as I’ll have already established the links between books can I then pick and choose from my listed books at random when reading them.
I think that’s similar to what I asked. You can read them in any order then link them on the list afterwards is my interpretation. To save Paul a job. Correct me Paul if incorrect.
Ideally, the one linked book should be read before the next linked book, but if you want to do it the other way then you can
Thanks Paul. I’ll endeavour to read in order but the way my reading has been lately I don’t want to be too rule bound or reading might not happen at all.
Hmmm Interesting! Will have to think about connections - probably more after reading than before, as I suck at reading the book I should... (I did see the bit about skipping over books, but still). Thanks Paul you always come up with a new challenge angle!
This is a great challenge. In order to link up my books I’m being forced to look into background of them. Interesting and something I wouldn’t have done otherwise. Thanks Paul....
It is a great challenge. I've really enjoyed working out my links and coming up with a list of books. Thanks Paul.
Finished! Amazed as I thought this was going to be such a difficult one for me. It was fabulous Paul as it made me think more about authors, contents and themes. Paul you are a star......still
Well done, Pat. And thank you. I still haven't gone through what I have read so far to look at the links between them
I read sort of in order with some in between. One was an 8 week course so finished that last but one. So maybe not 100% successful in that manner. Anyway, great challenge. Thanks again Paul. I think these challenges are just that. A challenge, whether we finish them or not. It’s the process and, most of all, the books that are important.
Just finished my Book Connections challenge. Thank you so much Paul. It really was a great challenge. I had lots of fun looking for books that would link and then changing my mind and reworking the list.A challenge I would definitely like to do again some time.
It was great wasn’t it? I was sceptical at first that I could complete it then found it more interesting as I needed to think outside the box. Thanks again Paul. Hope you having more time to read now. Take care.
I've started filling out my book connections list (in the order I read the books) and I'm having a ton of fun. Not sure the last few books I'll read this year so I'm still missing a few books. Having trouble making a connection with one set of books - hopefully I can think of something!
Well done Pamela. I have an idea for next year, just need to put it into something resembling comprehensible words
I've enjoyed the challenge, I just didn't have the books to link things up in the end. Good fun though.
I thought this would be hardest challenge yet finished it more quickly than usual. It did make me read around the individual books to see if any connections. Interesting. Thank you Paul. You always do a great challenge.
@paul I was afraid this group had been given up on, so good to see you're back! Will there be group reads in 2022 again, do you think?
Hi Anteq, not sure yet. it only seems to be me at the moment and I have a limit on what I can do because of other things.
