Week 2: Chapter 11, Part 7

This week we will stop at Chapter 11, Part 7 titled: The Eggman's Journey. What do you think about Jonsey being "possessed" or taken over by the alien? What would you have done if that happened to you? What do you think of how the military is handling the invasion? Is it realistic?

How are you guys doing? Today is the end of week 2 and I'm definitely behind. Must use this 3 day weekend to power through these chapters. I find coloring and listening to the book helps. Must not get distracted. Must not get distracted. LOL

I think I'm up to the halfway mark. And YES thank god for audiobooks! I was having to physically read for the first quarter or so and while I was loving it it was almost discouraging how slowly I was getting through (in my own head I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to reading lol). But now I'm making good progress and I'm loving it so far! If it keeps going on the way it's going it may be my first 5 star of 2021.

Also since we're in the subsection where we can talk about spoilers is anyone else as bummed about Beaver dying as I am? He was my favorite character! I'm so sad!

Yes, it’s great so far. Since you are listening to the audio book, wasn’t Kurtz monologue Amazing!!! There is definitely something wrong with that guy but the narrator did him justice! He sure knows how to give a pep talk. I enjoyed going back to when they met Duddits. This second section is when I really got how deep the friends connections were and how they had each other’s backs. And poor Duddits when Beaver died. That was heartbreaking.

Yes, I was definitely sad when Beaver died. He did his best with that toilet though. If only could have left the toothpicks.

LOVING how the narrator is speaking for Kurtz. It's totally making me see him as a scarier character than when Morgan Freeman portrayed him in the movie. And scarier is always better :P lol. And poor Duddits! That character has my whole heart <3 I can't wait to see how his storyline progresses.
