50. A book published in 2021 - Murder in the Cookbook Nook - ***
Published 27 April 2021. I read this immediately after Killer Characters, as two of the characters from that guested into this one. This was better, but I still really don't like what happened to one of them before. I hope it wasn't just so they could turn up in Storyton a couple of book years later.

39. A book involving an immigrant - Raisins and Almonds - ***
Phryne Fisher takes a case set among the Jewish immigrant community in 1928 Melbourne, Austrialia. The victim is an immigrant as well.

This is both the last in the Books by the Bay series, and ends with the completely gratuitous death of one of the long-term characters, which is why I gave it such a bad rating. It's also the end of at least two marriages.
