I finished Fire Touched on audiobook. This is my least favourite of the series so far.

I'm going to start The Sin Eater's Daughter. I got it for free from Audiosync a couple of summers ago. I'm not sure I'll enjoy it, but it fits a slot in my museum challenge.

I'm putting Prodigal Son aside. It's good, but I miss listening to the audio and I'm going to end up buying it anyway because Craig is also listening to the series. So, I'm just going to have to review it late because I really want to listen.

Who knew there was an in-depth, scientific (GORGEOUS!) study of international fairies?! A Natural History of Fairies by Emily Hawkins and illustrator Jessica Roux is terrific - as appealing for oldies as for kiddies!

i am reading one of the best things I have read in ages. It isThe Jealous Kind. I have not met a James Lee burke book i didn't like. This one references mobsters including Virgnia Hill. I an old photo of her from the 20's or 30's . She probably dated some of my relatives

I finished The Sin Eater's Daughter and it is finally off my tbr list, all 2 stars of it.

Tomorrow I will start The Next Always. It's a badge 2 book that I need to get it out of the way so that I can count the second book in the series towards badge 1. Kind of topsy turvy.

I won't be reading any of the sequels. I was curious though, and checked out some of the reviews of the second book. One person hated the second book and commented that she was glad she'd never read the first book since it had a worse rating. She couldn't imagine how bad it must have been.

I would never have picked it up if it hadn't been a freebie from AudioSync.

I finished Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents and rated it 5 stars. It is a MUST read, in my opinion. I decided to use it for the challenge of the month, since I don't think I will have time to read my original pick.

I finished reading Ready Player Two this week for my museum challenge. It was just as good as RPO, but you already know the characters, so you get MORE trivia. I do not want to spoil anything, but I thought the ending was great!

I am currently listening to the seventh Outlander book, An Echo in the Bone. I am amazed at how long I can go between books and the minute a new one starts, it feels like I just left the last book the day before. I love listening to Davina Porter's voices for the characters.

I am reading a "return" story to one I read several years ago for another yearly challenge. It is Ayesha: The Return of She. This is an old, old sequel to the first story, She: A History of Adventure, published in 1887 - that has never been out of print since. I love the language!

I haven't read an Arabic book in so long. this was the only one that caught my attention.

Coincidentally, 5 out of 6 books I'm currently reading, the characters are moving out. 3 of them are about diversity, and 2 books have significant characters with tourette syndrome. My favorite among them (so far) is Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus, where an armless girl had to move school and bears the staring from her schoolmates and the town people. The good part is that her family always encourage her, showing her that she's normal in her own way and that sometime they envy her for being able to do things with her feet. Also, they always push her to do everything on her own, so she need no help from others and be independent.

Actually I did beat that deal. Same place, I bought for ten cents. It too was autographed and a brand new unread hardcover.
