I've still not really had time to go through the sale. I took a quick look, realized there were quite a few I was interested in, and decided to come back later. I'd better get on it soon.
Yes, this Audible sale was hard to choose stuff because so much good stuff was on sale. I ended up choosing The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms and
My Dark Vanessa
I also got A Place to Stand with a regular credit because I am using it for my museum challenge this month.
I also got these from Chirp because I think Hildegard of Bingen is fascinating
The Greenest Branch and
The Column of Burning Spices
I succumbed to the sale. A Long Petal of the Sea
Stuff and Nonsense
Interesting to note that Petal is 318 pgs HC and 9:46 hours long. Stuff and Nonsense is 240 pgs PB and 10:40 hours long.
I bought a few books in the Audible sale, as well as a couple of whispersync deals and the daily deal. I had a bit of a splurge. From the sale:

Whispersync ($1.99 ea):

I decided to see what the Barnes & Nobel Daily Deal was last night and ended up purchasing way more book titles than that one. I bought all of these ebooks:The Book of Longings I love her writing!
Aru Shah and the Tree of Wishes I love the covers on these three series books and they were offered for 99 cents each.
Aru Shah and the Song of Death
Aru Shah and the End of Time
D: A Tale of Two Worlds - this was the daily deal
Mycroft Holmes - I have wanted this for a long time
Idaho on my TBR for years!
I just ordered a physical copy of The Witch's Boy on Cherie's recommendation in the 'books about witches' thread. I really enjoyed the book I previously read by this author, The Girl Who Drank the Moon. I'm hoping G will want to read it this summer, but if he doesn't I'll just read it myself after he goes home.
Kristie wrote: "I just ordered a physical copy of The Witch's Boy on Cherie's recommendation in the 'books about witches' thread. Kristie wrote: "Not exactly a purchase, but it is World Book Day so Amazon has free books available (in the link)."This is exactly what I was asking for the other day!
Thank you, Kristie.

My first kindle arrived in the post today - as much as I love real books my bookshelves just can't take it anymore lol. Downloaded all the free World Book Day eBooks off Amazon the other day - thanks for the heads up Kristie!Picked up a few different books in the Kindle deals to get my library started: Outlander, Under the Udala Trees, The Sealwoman's Gift, Outlawed, The Book of Longings.
It came with 3 free months of kindle unlimited, so I am going to use it read: The Murmur of Bees, Pachinko, Murder on the Orient Express and Spellbreaker
Excited to start reading with it!
Ellie-May wrote: "My first kindle arrived in the post today - as much as I love real books my bookshelves just can't take it anymore lol. Downloaded all the free World Book Day eBooks off Amazon the other day - than..."Some great books there Ellie-May!
Nice books Ellie-May!I bought Americanah, just in case it wins the poll for the group read. It's been on my wishlist for a long time and was very cheaply available as ebook.
I also recently picked up The Body: A Guide for Occupants and The Book of Longings
I went to a book store with my family today, which was a nice treat. I bought a signed copy of You Love Me and Hocus Pocus & The All New Sequel.I also picked up Mr. Mercedes for my daughter and Hidden Bodies to put away for her birthday.
I checked kindle sales today and got The Redemption of Time and Devotions: The Selected Poems of Mary Oliver
I just re-read my post and I don't think I worded it well. The only signed copy I got was You Love Me. I like going into that store because they often have signed copies available.
Kristie wrote: "I just re-read my post and I don't think I worded it well. The only signed copy I got was You Love Me. I like going into that store because they often have signed copies available."I wondered, but I wasn't sure if both books were signed or just the one.
I picked up Where the Crawdads Sing the other day. And I have Salt: Selected Essays and Stories as I bought it for my stepfather's birthday but he had already read it. It's sat on my desk for 6 weeks waiting on me to have enough time to return it to the campus bookshop. As I am on leave for the next 2 weeks, I don't think they will accept it after 2 months. So yay for me.
From the Audible non-fiction sale I gotThe Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery and the Making of American Capitalism
Always Look on the Bright Side of Life: A Sortabiography
The Tao of Bill Murray: Real-Life Stories of Joy, Enlightenment, and Party Crashing
Amazon UK has some good books in its 99p deals today for the oscars, including Rebecca, Dune, The Green Mile, Gone Girl, The Color Purple and some others. I have gotten myself a couple.
I just picked up a bunch from the Audible sale that's ending. The Spitfire Girls
Etched in Sand: A True Story of Five Siblings Who Survived an Unspeakable Childhood on Long Island
Good Morning, Monster: A Therapist Shares Five Heroic Stories of Emotional Recovery
The Orphan Keeper
The Aging Brain
The Stranger in the Woods: The Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit
Lady Clementine
Strange almost coincidence Kristie but I was tempted by That Churchill Woman yesterday in the library. Another strang woman in his life. I decided to save it till I've more time.
That one looks good too, Margo. I seem to be interested in a lot of books about women in history that didn't conform to social standards.
Ellie-May wrote: "Amazon UK has some good books in its 99p deals today for the oscars, including Rebecca, Dune, The Green Mile, Gone Girl, [book:The Color..."Ellie-May, I've only read REBECCA and GONE GIRL from your list but both are excellent.
I gotElevation
The Outsider
Early Riser
Deep Sleep
Wanderers
The Blumhouse Book of Nightmares: The Haunted City
from the library sale.
I finished reading a book that I have owned forever last night and immediately looked at the Bookstore link on my Nook to purchase the sequel book. I bought Trackers. I hope it is as good as the first one.I also found a book for the May monthly challenge and purchased Boy Swallows Universe.
I picked up 3 books today:A Good Girl's Guide to Murder on Kindle for the group themed read
And for the Audible coupon sale, I got:
Project Hail Mary
Later
I preordered The Last Green Valley for the sale. When I went to update my shelves, I had a note that it's available on a whispersync deal which is less than a credit so I cancelled it. I will get it with my coupon when it arrives. I'm trying to be a little more diligent about using credits when the books are available through the library or whispersync deals.
I picked up Washington Black as an ebook deal. Also, a few months ago I joined the kickstarter for Michael J. Sullivan's new novel Nolyn. It won't be officially published for another 3 months, but I got my ebook today.
I picked up Every Last Fear and Just Get Home from Audible for the coupon deal. I was thinking about pre-ordering a couple to get a larger coupon, but I don't know if they'll be available through my library, so I'll probably skip them for now. One of the other books I wanted to get was less than a credit, so I'll probably use my coupon for that one.

I participated in one of his kickstarters for The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter. I got both the paperback and ebook editions and some bookmarks with my donation. I ended up buying the audiobook separately. It was fun to do and a great way to support the author but I doubt I'll participate again. But, who knows.
I picked up another Kindle deal - The Silent Patient. It has a whispersync deal attached to it that I might purchase with my coupon. I've got my coupon already spent. LOL!
I'm a little frustrated... I requested my library get the audio version of Every Last Fear a while back and when it was released a couple of month's ago they only got the hardcover edition. I waited a couple of months to make sure it wasn't just taking longer for some reason before purchasing the audio version yesterday. They emailed me today, 14 hours after my purchase, saying that they bought it and it is available for me to download. I used that audio as one of my two books to get the coupon. Now I need to decide whether to return it or not. It is not worth spending $10 to get $5, but I have seen a couple of audiobooks recently that were available through the library become no longer available when the license expired. So... to keep it or not?
Also, there were 4 other books I had requested a while ago that they also bought. I had already purchased two of them. -_-
