I just bought the first Odd Thomas book after seeing the second one on Marie's badge request list. Apparently I only own books 4.5-7 and must have read the others from the library, but I just love that series and it is one that I will revisit so I am going to buy the first four here in the next month or so

She still has more money than any one person deserves, but it solidifies the idea in my head that Jeff has a Scrooge McDuck vault in his house that he swims in.

That's a good find!
I bought book 2 of Odd Thomas - Forever Odd and Firekeeper's Daughter - I have been waiting for this book to come out
I need to get back to Odd. I read the first couple of books when they first came out and never kept up with the series. Seven now, huh? I probably need to update my list and figure out what to read next. Maybe I will start over. I loved the ones that I read! ❤️
I bought Murder at the Mena House and The Last Goodnight: A World War II Story of Espionage, Adventure & Betrayal both as ebooks. They were on sale.

Does anyone know when is Amazon's World Book Day? It is always in April, but I couldn't find the date for 2021 anywhere.

uh oh - Audible put series on sale. I gotThe Bear and the Nightingale
Black Sun Rising
The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
Daughter of the Forest
The Crystal Cave
Tales of the City
The Obelisk Gate
The Stone Sky
I've got books in the cart, still deciding. I didn't even know about the sale. My grandson was over last night and he informed me that I MUST read The Shadow of What Was Lost. I thought I already had the book but looked at Audible. It was on sale for $5.00, the next two books were $6 & $7. I've been ordered to buy them. His logic was that it was meant to be since they were on sale. Now I probably won't read them fast enough to suit him. LOL!
I warmed up the credit card and picked up the trilogy:The Shadow of What Was Lost
An Echo of Things to Come
The Light of All That Falls
Each one just under 30 hours of listening time.

The more hours the better, I do like to get value for money!
Peggy wrote: "Do I see a new series buddy read there, Janice?"If there are people interested, why not? We could start it after The Realm of the Elderlings.
I own the first book, it's been on my tbr for a long time. I always thought I should finish some other fantasy series first, but as I'll finish up two series before July, I could finally start it.
I grabbed a few books from the Audible sale before it ends tomorrow. A Local Habitation
An Artificial Night
The Winter Sea
The Secret Life of Violet Grant
Say You're Sorry
I got The Lady of the Rivers in the mail. And found Gulliver's Wife and Murder in Mississippi in the little library next door.
Margo wrote: "I love Philippa Gregory, nothing like a Tudor romp!"I needed the first one to start, as I have a couple of others in the series. And I have issues of coming in halfway through series.

I read them completely out of order and I've only just read the first one. A lot of things fell into place for me!
I'm usually a stickler for reading in order but back when I started this series audio availability was an issue. Lucky I already knew the spoilers 😆
I've order 'The horse Meadow'. Sadly, no GR - page has been made, but it's the personal story of the author on how he created a natural living environment for his horse significant events that happened to the horses through the seasons, to the many people he met on the way, and to himself. The book also contains many tips on meadow management. Each chapter ends with “horse talks” where John reflects in a humorous and practical way on the nature of the horse and demystifies many notions about its behaviour. And I'm in doubt to buy The Terror I'm watchig the series on BBC and I've got the book from the library, but it's over 1000 pages.
Heads up - there is a new 2 for 1 sale on Audible US and I believe in the UK as well. The US one looks really good...I just picked up The Mystery of Mrs. Christie from the Audible daily deal.

I debated about getting the daily deal. It sounds interesting.
I've put a couple books into the 2-1 cart but will go back in a few hours and review. I rather liked the selection offered this time.
The Mystery of Mrs. Christie was in my wishlist. I have liked Marie Benedict's work in the past. I had a hold on the physical copy through my library, but the audio is only through Audible so I grabbed it right away.
Chirp had some good deals this week that I wanted. I gotDominicana
The Bhagavad Gita
and two Sherlock holmes vs. Cthulu books
