*snort* So very true.

Us here too. Up and up and up. But then adding in all the work gear made it oppressive. But I didn't realise how so until it was gone.
Lol and completely understand. My character was awesome and killed the big bad while holding off other baddies from the group in our massive battle. That's the important take away ;) lol. Oh and I now have a trophy of an ugly eyeball creature.

She's also a smuggler because I love a good criminal who uses her powers for good. :) And congrats on the trophy! I don't think I've ever had the non-pleasure of meeting one.
That's a really cool multiclass combo. Stealthy and shooty! A robin hood esq criminals are always fun to play. You can do dodgy things still but pass it off as being roguish :PExcuse us everyone for talking shop for a moment.
You don't want to. Multiple eye stalks that can all attack, and an anti magic zone. Random dice roll on what the eye attacks are, and they are all massive damage and/or not very nice side effects (eg Disintegration Ray means you have no body if it kills you, so no rez). We started dancing on the edge of that... So I blasted it.
I have always wanted to play D&D. Never have, mainly because I haven't known anyone who wants to play. That was one of the things I put on my bucket list when we did that challenge a few months back.We have new lights in our boat. The lighting was pretty poor before so Rob put some new ones in. I can see to do things past 3pm now.
I used to love to play D&D. It is like writing a story. I wonder if any of my old game mates would want to reunite? I am very jealous of you Rusllka

I added the Druid because our group had zero magic users. Zero. Magic. Users. Plus, robin hood is the best. :)
Renee wrote: "I used to love to play D&D. It is like writing a story. I wonder if any of my old game mates would want to reunite? I am very jealous of you Rusllka"Roll20 and Beyond D&D have made it super easy to play online in lockdown. Seriously, ask people. So many things are out of the question at the moment!

I forget how early it gets dark there.
You are on my list when we have a one shot available!
Janice wrote: "I'm so grateful that I have a grandson who is caring and giving of himself..."I know what you mean, Janice. I miss my grandson, Tyler, so much. He is 21 (will be 22 this August). He is in the Marine Corps, stationed in Hawaii right now. He has not been home since last Christmas 2019. He is always the one I can count on to come over and help me do things.
I am back at my desk in my spare room for my second day of working from home in 2021. My last five day vacation for a while. We had a Zoom retirement meeting yesterday for a 20 year employee. It was fun, but not like going out and celebrating and getting to see folks. The audio chats have gotten better. We have a "virtual" lunch group meeting the first Friday of every month. We even did a Christmas ornament exchange the week before Christmas with all of us learning how to turn on the background screens.

My grandson is a Tyler as well. Maybe it's in the name. :) Is he stationed on Oahu? That's the island my sister lives on. They'll be moving to the Big Island in a few months though.
Good morning, everyone! How is everyone doing? I dreamed my husband couldn't find the lid of the coffee mill so he just started using it without the lid making a complete mess while I yelled "can't you wait a minute and find the lid!", and I am still mad at him. :)
Sandra wrote: "Good morning, everyone! How is everyone doing? Poor guy - wakes up in the morning and his wife is angry at him because of a dream. That made me laugh out loud.
Me too!Rob was once (years ago) angry with me for a couple of days for something I said while sleeping. He never wanted to say what it was. I thought it was very unfair!
Sandra wrote: "Good morning, everyone! How is everyone doing? I did that to my husband a couple of months ago. I told him I know you didn't do anything, but I'm still mad. lol
This is day two with no heat here. We can't figure out the problem, so the repair guys are coming tonight. Yesterday they wanted us to wait until Monday with no heat in the middle of winter! Today they have an opening so we took it right away. It is so cold in my house. Last time I checked it was 54ºF (12ºC) in here and it just keeps getting colder due to the outdoor temps. My fingers are getting numb... I can't wait for them to get here... six more hours. 🥶
Oh my gosh! I think we figured it out! Thank goodness. It was a fuse in the furnace. Our furnace has a little light that blinks when you run diagnostics. It tells you if there is anything wrong based on blinks. It was blinking normally, which indicated there was no issue with the furnace. After trying everything else, we decided to change the fuse just in case and it worked! Oh lovely heat, how I missed you...

LOL! That is funny. Maybe your dream was prophetic.
It's unbelievable. Mob rule however will not dictate our constitution. Trump has crossed the line and has a lot to account for.
Peggy wrote: "Oh my, the US is all over the news here. This is so insane I don't even have words for it."Yes, it's insane. This is a direct result of Trump spewing lies and hatred and inciting violence for years. He has been destroying our country. It is really sad. Somehow they will turn this around and blame the Democrats. It will be their fault because they "stole" (aka won) the election.
Janice wrote: "My grandson is a Tyler as well. Maybe it's in the name. :) Is he stationed on Oahu? That's the island my sister lives on. My uncle came home from hospital yesterday. He was admitted about 2 weeks before xmas with a chest infection and they arranged with the larger hospital to bring him in and bring him up by ambulance or his 10 radiation treatments. This was a huge relief as we were worrying about how to get to the treatments as he has got very weak. This is one example of hospitals cooperating for the good of the patient. From monday he will be getting home help twist a day. For the r3st of the time I will dividing myself between my mum and uncle. I'm not sure how well this will work but he does want to stay at home as long as possible so fingers crossed.
Ciara has just been giving me a run down of what's going on in US. Unbelievable, that man has made so much trouble. There should be consequences for him but he as conned others into doing his trouble making for him 🤬
I'm glad your uncle is back home, Margo. Fingers crossed that the arrangements work. Remember to take care of yourself too. Big hug.
Hey US YLTO fam, could you do me a small favour? Stay pretty close to home for the next couple of weeks? Love you all, and this shit scares me. I don't think they could storm it again tomorrow (although where the F was the national guard today? I mean we in Australia new stuff was going to go down today) but them threatening to storm again with weapons... Books. Books and warm fires. Sounds like a plan, hey? *nods*
Glad your uncle is home Margo, but I agree with Sandra. Make sure there is Margo time in between him and your Mum. And you are amazing for looking after your family like you are :)
We are staying close to home. It is indeed a scary time here in the USA. Most of us also wonder and are in shock that it went as long as it did and wasn’t stopped. Please understand that the vast majority of our citizens do not condone this and are horrified by it. Hopefully, today and in the future, a peaceful transition takes place. 😢
Oh, Sharon, I feel so much for you guys. I know how much this ties into your identity of who you guys are as people and as a nation, so this must hurt terribly for you guys no matter your political persuasion. Know that the people I know and care about do not think of this as a reflection of you as a people. This is not what we think of when it comes to America, this is a very manipulated group of people.
However, I just want you all to be safe with any craziness that comes about in the two weeks. So, I mandate books.
A novel dictatorship! LOL! Love it! I am indeed off to a world of myth and magic. Thank you for your support! May we all find our peace.
The whole thing was very upsetting. I still can't believe how fast things escalated. The media says the only 26 people were arrested inside the Capitol, and I do not like the message this sends. I hope this last two weeks do not bring any other "surprise". Yes, peace is what we want and need.
There is so much trauma in America right now. It’s so hard right now. I don’t do well with anxiety etc so I’ve been hiding in my books. Read 7 books so far this week trying to block out the world. I’m embracing my inner hermit.
Sandra wrote: "The whole thing was very upsetting. I still can't believe how fast things escalated. The media says the only 26 people were arrested inside the Capitol, and I do not like the message this sends. I ..."52 is the number being reported over here. So not great, but better.
Marnie wrote: "I’m embracing my inner hermit."And may she prosper! I completely and utterly understand this reaction too though. Hope you have some amazing reading.
@Rusalka, 52 is the total, but only 26 were people inside the Capitol. At least that is what I understood. The woman shot inside died, and there were other 3 deaths outside, although not much information was given so far about who they are.@Marnie, take care and embrace your hermit. Do not let this craziness affect you. Big hug.
Sandra wrote: "@Rusalka, 52 is the total, but only 26 were people inside the Capitol. At least that is what I understood. There were two pipe bombs found, one in the DNC and one in the RNC. A car on the Capitol grounds was found with a long gun and Molotov cocktails inside a cooler (esky?) as well.
Watching the videos I have no problem at all with security inside. How do you arrest 100+ people by yourself when they are angry and armed? I think security forces inside did what they could without getting themselves killed (but I will love the FBI's take on the military grade infiltrators with zip ties into the chambers of congress and how that is not intent). And having dealt with large members of the public, sometimes the best thing is to get them out of the fucking building. So I completely understand them, but why are there not more arrests now? I mean, Mr Jamiroquai must be identifiable? The guy who was in Nancy Pelosi's office gave his full name and age to the Washington Post!
Sorry, it should be said, I am astounded at the level of organised response when it is white people in the streets compared to black/brown people. There was a lot of "hang on..." moments from this to a couple of months ago as an outside observer. Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others...

I do understand tables full of stuff. I tend to make room and clear it out a bit when we have people coming over, but as that's way less often than usual, it piles up. And up. And up.
