Lewis Fitzgerald is an excellent narrator for Aussie author Emma Viskic's Caleb Zelic series. I really enjoyed his rendition of Resurrection Bay and look forward to the next in this series.4.5★s

"Good review, might have to give it a read. Sounds like fun but could easily be disappointing. Not sure that we are anything like being able to find a 98% match on today's technology given our knowledge of genetics, methylation (switching genes on and off) and nature / nurture issues. That said, some aspects of DNA matching are likely real observations.
As part of the recent readathon, and also my annual read around Australia challenge, I have finished
by Gideon Haighwhich made a great companion read to
.The true story, the real facts, and the great description of 1930's Melbourne made it a four star read, easily.

My review for
The Lies We Tell by Jane Corry, about a family thrown into a moral dilemma when their beloved son tells them that he has done something very bad.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review of Girl, 11 by Amy Suiter Clarke - a gripping thriller based around a true crime podcast. (I reviewed both hardcover and paperback editions for HMHCo and Pushkin Vertigo respectively.) I've recorded this as an AA as, while the author is US-born, she currently works as a university librarian in Melbourne!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Still by Aussie actor, screenwriter and author, Matt Nable, is an impressive read. I did spot a few anachronisms, but perhaps they would only stand out to someone of my vintage; if you're born in 1972 and set your novel in 1963, that can probably only be avoided by asking someone older for an opinion.4★s

I loved Aussie author Tabitha Bird's imaginative debut novel, and I've just enjoyed her latest, The Emporium of Imagination. I'm pleased she weaves her magic in her hometown of Boonah, Qld, but I want this Emporium to open near me, please!

The third instalment of Peter May's Enzo Macleod series, Blacklight Blue, sees Enzo making an important choice with the wrong part of his anatomy, but doing some excellent deductive work to track down a killer.4★s

I loved An Imaginary Life by acclaimed Aussie author David Malouf. What a strange and fascinating life he's dreamed up for the exiled Roman poet Ovid, banished forever to a remote village with primitive customs (and no common language).
