can you combine these?

Since both profiles are claimed by the author (GR author), Librarians can't add a note to them.
I've combined some books by this author earlier, and also didn't find a pattern. And usually I don't mind a larger project, but with the primary author having to be the same on all editions, and also when there is a different name on the cover, that one has to be the secondary author, this is not a project I'm going to work on.
The issue is mostly that Mª is not just an initial. If it was just M. it would be within GR policy to have M. merged into Maria (that is for unclaimed profiles; when the author profile is claimed, the author has to request it themselves).
Feel free to request combines for them though. Checking and fixing the authors for a couple of editions of the same book is fine.

Thanks so much. I have no idea why she keeps both profiles going. I remember contacting her through some channel or other (Facebook? Twitter?) to ask if she could fix it, but no response.
I did wonder if she used the M with the superscript (is that what it's called?) for Spanish editions or something, but who knows?
I'll just do as you suggest and request as I'm reading/reviewing the new ones that come out. Thanks again!

The author seems to have used both of her author entries over the years, and I'm not sure what the protocol is about merging them. She is obviously the same person.
Is it possible to add a note to each profile with a link to the other? I've reviewed ARCs of many of her books, and I haven't found a pattern as to when she uses which name (not that I've looked terribly hard!)
