Its a Harlequin book with a gold cover from before 1998. One of the characters names is Cam or Sam.
A guy has a friend come stay with him for awhile. While he was there, he overheard a woman leave a message saying she might kill herself. He told his friend he was staying with about it. They rushed over to her house. (What he didnt know is that it was his friends sister and she is a writer. She was having a bit of writers block and was asking her brother for help.) They got to her house and the brother grabbed the sister and asked her dramatically if she was ok. They were both trying not to laugh. The visitor then noticed they both had the same color eyes and were actually brother and sister.
