Not horror, but sci-fi is my next read, Cat's Cradle. Hugo nominated ten years before I was even born!

Loved this series. I thought I had it all figured out but the last 100 pages of this book blew it all out of the water. Would love to know what both of you think when you finish.

I'll be posting a review here and on https://maitlandsmind.wordpress.com/ as soon as I finish which should be tomorrow or the following day depending on how many interruptions I have. Loving it so far.

I'll report back when I finish. I know another shoe will drop with the story, I can feel it.

Alan, I LOVED that book! Holy hell, things certainly took a turn in that one!
I just finished
My review of it can be found here on goodreads or on https://maitlandreviews.wordpress.com... Next up is
I just finished Into The Drowning Deep by Mira Grant...finally, cause it's been in my TBR for about 2 years (I love Seanan McGuire's dark fantasy stories and have wanted to read her pen name's works).WHAT A STORY! This is exactly how I like my sci-fi and horror blended. I seriously had to sleep with the lights on last night to finish the book. As a fan of fairy tales and mythology, I already knew mermaids/sirens were not sweet and innocent like in Disney but JFC...these ones are truly the stuff of nightmares. A must read if there's anyone like me who's been putting this book off :)
