I got my hands on an eARC of My Heart Is a Chainsaw and I'm just now getting around to reading it. Absolutely fantastic, so far. I love SGJ's writing.

Cheers from another person with a December birthday! :) I’m actually thinking about reading It that month, sounds like it will be a great reading month for the both of us :)

Wow, no way! Are you also a fellow Capricorn? LoL yeah, I have too many books to go through and I also have to read that King Trilogy, the one with Mr. Mercedes. I'm thinking of leaving that for the new year :-DDecember is going to rock!
I've started reading through the Necroscope series this past year. Currently on book 6, Blood Brothers.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this one, I am hoping I can get to it this month as well.
I was supposed to be a Capricorn, but decided to make my appearance early as a Sagittarius :)

LoL will definitely share my thoughts/review when I finish it and so far... WOW! I'm really enjoying it. Ah, very cool, Sagittarius is also an awesome sign so no worries there, fellow Decemberite :-)

As Kealan Patrick Burke's covers always are. :)
Ren wrote: "I've started reading through the Necroscope series this past year. Currently on book 6, Blood Brothers."That's quite a series! I read them back in the day and had all the paperbacks. I don't know what ever happened to those.

Just an involving (to say the least) and astounding read! Glad you're enjoying it.... I've always thought that reading The Stand at "break-neck" speed is not always the best approach. This book needs to be savored!
Just finished the final graphic novel volume (# 32) of Kirkman's "The Walking Dead" and the "tag end" Negan book that puts a coda onto the series. What an experience!

It's been great fun thus far! I'm kicking myself for starting the series so late though. It's been pretty hard to find print copies!
Still new into the wonderful hobby of reading. Figure I'd get some of Stephen Kings wonderful classics out of the way :).Currently reading The Shining
Just finished, "Blood Brothers" by Brain Lumley. Now reading "A Head Full of Ghosts" by Paul Tremblay.
Aside from readding Edward Lee's Witch Water, I have started to read from the begining my collection of Doc Savage Paperbacks from Bantam.since each book is usually no longer than 160pgs, and the usual is around 128 pgs, they are usually a quick read.
Started out with Doc Savage #1 "The Man of Bronze".

Just finished Girl with All the Gifts
, which I loved, and am now starting The Year of the Witching
. So excited!!
Son of a Trickster - Had it on my TBR for a while and I figured it might fit the Halloween challenge.

That's one of his best, I think.
For myself, I just started,
The Women of Weird Tales, which I may only dip into, but two stories in, it's good.
I'm reading several books at the moment but one that might appeal to this group is
Devour by Kurt AndersonBut then I enjoy a good sea monster book.

I'm about 40% through Skeleton Crew by Stephen King.I enjoyed the Mist a lot, as I usually do when I see the movie first and then read the book. The other way around is always a bit frustrating. Enjoyed the Monkey as well.
I've been getting hooked on listening to serial killer podcasts at work so now I've started reading Crimes that Shocked the Nation. Humans really are the true monsters, man.
