Tyler King, the deadbeat father who assaulted Morgan in the last book when she served him with court notices, was freed on bail and sentenced to time served under a deal worked out with the new ADA. What did you make of that at the time?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I didn't know what to think about the situation. The prosecuting attorney usually won't work a deal unless he doesn't have the evidence for a strong case. It sounded like they had plenty of evidence against Tyler Green. Therefore, it sounded like he made the deal with Tyler just to cause problems for Morgan. Of course, if Tyler was caught harassing Morgan, the deal would have been voided and he'd be back in jail.

This felt mean spirited. Morgan is an officer of the court and deserved better. If the new ADA is starting off like this, he’s going to be a problem. He tried to choke her to death!

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I'm guessing we'll be seeing more of this ADA in the future. He'll probably take the place of Sheriff King as the thorn in their side.

I certainly hope he gets his act together. Their behavior towards women is abysmal.

Susan (cruelshoes) | 158 comments I did not think Tyler Green was the one harassing Morgan just too coincidental. However I cant believe he got out.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments It was totally mean spirited of the ADA. He wanted to get back at Melanie.

@Jonetta - I doubt that will happen. Men like that feel superior to women and are unlikely to realize the error of their ways. Rather, I suspect that he might become violent toward a woman who questions or "humiliates" him.

This was a scary move, Lauren. I’m just hoping he does better but that hope is dim.
