ok I've been thinking about starting to try and get arcs. its kinda intimidating lol.

big question: exactly how important is it to have friends on edelweiss/netgalley ? do they want you to have an audience on those platforms? or is ur goodreads/bookstagram/blog enough?

oh, we were friending each other edelweiss just because, lol. and yeah, i just have goodreads (no blog, no other social media) and decided to take a chance with netgalley. they're pretty good about giving new reviewers arc's. :)

yup. i go through netgalley to download it to overdrive, otherwise it's automatically there for the netgalley shelf app, i just need to download it to my phone.

AAAAAAHHHHHH GUYS
okay so i got approved for an arc on edelweiss (ground zero by alan gratz jflsdkjflksdjlfksjl) but when i tried to download it to my overdrive, it said that it was in pdf form. (which makes sense, because overdrive is a mobi or epub viewer). anywho, i tried to download it to my laptop, and it didn't work? i'm going to try and download it to my phone through the "kindle" formate, which is what i'm assuming is epub form.

anyway, what i guess i'm trying to ask is (for those of you who have gotten approved on edelweiss) how do you access your arc's?

OMG I ALSO HAD THAT PROBLEM ITS SO ANNOYING

turns out that downloading arcs onto overdrive used to work, but now IT DOESNT, so i had to switch over to Adobe Digital (i found on Netgalley that that's the alternate way) and read from there when i downloaded arcs

Its sooo annoying, and now when I download arcs on my laptop, I have to use that. I miss overdrive :(
