According to World Cat (our preferred source for confirming page counts) this book has 250 pages.

Can you tell me what is on page 251-256 of your copy? Some things we count & some things we don't.

My mistake, I'm well aware of that and should have explained myself.
I chose to discard WorldCat because the only complete entry I could find mentions the 1992 edition, whereas the publishing house refers to the 1980 edition - same as the GR entry.

Since I don't own a physical copy yet, I couldn't say for sure what happens on pp. 251-256...

I borrowed the 1980 edition :)
The novel ends in the middle of p. 251.
pp. 252-256 are either blank, "more from the same author" or copyrights.

I suppose "more from the same author" means a list of their other books (which we don't count), so I think the page count should be 251.

I double checked the GR entry, the page count has been set to 251.
I believe

"Page count of 271 added."

is a simple typo.
