Derek Blount | 3 comments Greetings, Thrill Seekers!

I'm Derek Blount. Derek Blount

Very excited to announce the publication earlier this month of the closing chapter of the Hostile Takeover Thrillogy. (And thank you to Stephanie for hosting this thread.)

I've been quite flattered by the positive reviews and ratings of the first two books:

Hostile Takeover has 100+ ratings on Goodreads with an average 4.5 stars.

Second Son has 100+ ratings on Goodreads with an average of 4.4 stars.

The new book - Final Reckoning - closes out the trilogy.

For what it's worth, each book is a self-contained story (no cliffhangers demanding you read the next book), but there are shared characters and a through line plot that rewards readers who've read the books in order (Final Reckoning is certainly more meaningful if you've read Hostile Takeover and Second Son).

Please consider giving them a shot, and if you do, ratings/reviews are very much appreciated.

Hostile Takeover Thrillogy on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P9MCXDB

Thank you and have a wonderful 2021!

Derek

INCOGNITO QUATERNO: A Jackson Studder Espionage Thriller
by Adam James (Goodreads Author)
it was amazing 5.00 · Rating details · 1 rating · 0 reviews
Following 9/11 a legion of top secret operators were dispatched to protect the American homeland at all costs. Operating in the dark–independent and unsupervised–these solitary soldiers jumped into the fray. Years later and unable to sustain congressional scrutiny, this risky operation and all of its operatives have been terminated . . . save one.

Jack Studder is still out there and he’s not coming in.

While the world slumbers in dreams of global economic partnerships, an organization of political whackjobs — The Committee — implements a macabre plot to turn the world into a nightmarish conflagration and then seize the reins of global power from civilization’s ashes. When Jack rubs elbows with D.C.’s glitterati in an attempt to unravel the evil intentions of The Committee, he discovers that he is out of his depth and vulnerable. And then his old buddy Alex Romanesque, who's right in the middle of everything, cooks up a big surprise that’s certain to spoil the party for everyone.

With humanity’s fate hanging in the balance, two special operators — one Chinese and one American — work together to prevent the unthinkable.

My post will be under the guidelines of ..What are you doing.....well I have been thinking for a couple of days on what actually went down and why in the state of Washington D.C. It was a shocker to all. I was stunned like many, and a bit surprised that so many got into that building with less than 10 folks dead. For many have kicked Colin to the curb because he was kneeing for the injustice towards many black folks, and yet people blasted him about the flag, and not representing the United Sates in a way that we are to pledge. Now we had a ton of folks not accepting the results of the voting, and yet can;t produce any evidence on the fraud. But then again, if you challenge, you have to have the common denominator which is PROOF. So moving on to the riots, I believe that within 6 months, there will be a book about this, and why so many was there, and nothing happened, verses the movement that went on this summer with massive tear gas, rubber bullets and handful arrests. If you all looked closely, you would have seen a lynching rope on the lawn in front of the building, and I am just in AWWWW on how fast they built that and put it up. America has to come together no matter how you look at things, right now we are in every newspaper and tv show from here to the moon. My father, rest his soul, would have puked seeing this happening KNOWING that he fought for this country on a 3 x tour, with a buddy getting blasted on an IED...just shocking....

Brian Benson (bknight47) | 343 comments I live just 12 minutes from where all the action went down. There is a lot more going on than what the mainstream media is reporting. If anyone is really interested in what is going on read this link... To link to this article: http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/08850607.20...

I just finished reading something that was written in 2017. I knew about 2 years ago, that this FB,YT, and all these outlets will soon catch up to alot of hate speech, and turmoil that we just went through. Its a fast and easy, and cheap way to connect to the mass, and all within the confinement of your home. But I have to ask the folks who own these sites as to how long do you allow something like this to continue?

message 29: by Brian (new)

Brian Benson (bknight47) | 343 comments I get it...."It was a dark and stormy night." And then the murders began...:)

message 30: by Jimmie (new)

Jimmie | 302 comments Ruth, that was such a great idea with adding, and that is when the killings began. I will have to apply that sentence to some of my favorite books.
