You guys and the green eyes. Ruth you said that 8% are born with blue 2% with green what are the other 80% b/c everyone that I see has blue eyes. Guess everyone wears contacts. Brian what books has she written and what type are they. I have 2 packed bookcases I have to read and after i am finished with the book I am reading now I am going to start a Rosenfelt.
Carmen Amato writes detective novels. Her heroine is Emilia Cruz, a tough gritty female detective surrounded by misogynist male detectives. Well crafted stories, that hold your interest. I have long thought her stories would be movies or t.v. series. The only thing that [prevents sit it they take place in Mexico. They are truly fantastic reads.

I don't really care where the setting (UK settings get me a little bit though) is I just like good books. Think I'll order some of her books then. I'll go to my trusty site thrift books and see if they have any but first I gotta check to Read books and to read books to see if I have any and thank you for the heads up.
I remember the song that went with it...lol I'm gonna list a few of her amazing books on my blog...ttus...:)B
Ruth wrote: "Sounded familiar to me as well...then I remembered the game show in the 90s “Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?” I think that’s what I was thinking...lol."If you are interested in reading her books her first 6 are in a set for $10 on the kindle. Not that I like reading off of an e-reader but my book site didn't have her books and even if I only read 2 of them I will still be ahead since kindle are $5 each.

You gals will love her books, trust me...:)

Were you the one that told me about Wendy, Tomb Raider.
Ruth wrote: "Oh thank you Chris. What a great deal. I’m at 50/50 between hardbacks and ereaders. My daughter laughs at me because if I read a book on my kindle and like it, I buy the hardback version for my boo..."The books I like are on ereader since I have no room on my bookshelves. Very rarely will I reread a book but there are some that I have reread several times, Gone with the Wind, Forever Amber, Needful Things just a few.
Just went to his website. This guys has done a ton of books. They really look good. Thanks for this recommendation Chris...:)
Chris wrote: "You guys have to try David Rosenfelt books, Andy Carpenter who is the main character is the best."I just ordered First Degree...will read it when I'm done with Murder Comes To The Suburbs...
Hi all! Richard Schneider here. I write Mystery/Suspense books. I published "Hidden in the Wind" in early December and plan to publish "Succession" later this quarter.
I found him when I was looking at books on a site and I am a sucker for dogs and a lot of his books have retrievers on the cover. Brian hey you recommended Wendy, tomb raider and I liked so I thought I would give this author a shot. If you don't like no loss. I remember mentioning Linda Fairstein to Stephanie and she gave input. I have a few books left by her and then I'm done. I like her books b/c she uses NY city as her background with the history in her stories.
Are you a pet person Chris?? Me too We had 47 dogs when covid started. we have like 8 left...that's why I had time to finish Red Ink...:)
I have 3 dogs and since this whole thing started 1 has become very nasty the other one really annoying and the big one is a big couch potato and very sweet. Brian I don't know how I discovered the author but so far I have read Unleashed, Heart of a Killer and Hounded and enjoyed everyone of them.
Ok Psych/Thriller Fans It's Time For A Valentine's Day Give-Away. In Chapter 13 Of Red Ink, I Interview A Romance Writer. That Character Is Actually A Best Selling Romance Writer In Real Life. To Win A Signed Copy Of Red Ink, And A Digital Copy Of Her Newest Novel, Just Tell Me Who The Best Selling Author Is...Clue...It's In Her Name...:)
I like the discussion of dogs appearing in book. I like how Dean Koontz has a lot of dogs connected to his books.
Chris wrote: "Josephine Marchand was journalist, writer and feminist activist in Quebec"The author I interviewed was Bella Ryan. Who is she in real life?? Thus the clue, 'It's in her name'
Brian wrote: "I liked the sound of his books. He's got a kazillion though...:)"Tara is the only one that hasn't left him in all of the books that I have read by him. There a so many authors that people don't even know about that write really good stories but most people stick to the same writer. With everything going digital it is going to be hard to discover new writers especially for people that aren't that crazy reading off of them (me). Not that I need anymore books to read. Just looked on kindle and I have over 600 books, don't know what's on the nook and I have about 200+ real books on my books shelves. Bottom line is that I have enough books to read. If they were under 200 pages I would be able to read more books each year.
Jimmie wrote: "I like the discussion of dogs appearing in book. I like how Dean Koontz has a lot of dogs connected to his books."The best book I read by him was Watchers.
Ruth wrote: "Whack a doo Lilith had green eyes. I hoping he threw a blue eyed in there somewhere. Lolol"Bella probably had blue eyes. Evil people have the green eyes I hope Brian realizes that LOL.
Ruth wrote: "I was very excited that Benson made use of the public libraries. It’s almost a lost art. I taught school almost 30 years and I remember when they changed the name of the school library to Learning ..."You do know that a lot of schools don't have libraries anymore. I know my daughters English teacher in HS was so disappointed b/c at 1 time they had one but changed it to a lab of some kind so he making his classroom into a mini library. I love seeing those mini libraries on corners. Reading is a lost art know b/c so many people are tied up with social media. I thank God that my daughter reads books.
Ruth wrote: "I was very excited that Benson made use of the public libraries. It’s almost a lost art. I taught school almost 30 years and I remember when they changed the name of the school library to Learning ..."Libraries are an invaluable tool for an investigator. Other guys used to laugh at me for using them...:) I have dated librarians very informative ladies...:)
You two are not great detectives. I thought by now you'd have figured out who the real author is need another clue??
Kendall Ryan, Patricia Ryan or Kennedy Ryan. Dude you are making this very difficult. Jimmie what's the answer since you know it.
