Does anyone else ship Kiara with Remo?

I have a confession to make. I SHIP REMO AND KIARA SO MUCH *cries on the floor*



And I'm being perfectly serious. There is something special, pure and perfect about Remo x Kiara. This book nearly ended me with the number of Remo x Kiara scenes. NEVER BEFORE has the author blessed us with so much Remo x Kiara. In all the previous books I've been nursing all the small crumbs of the pairing we manage to get. But in this book there were so many glorious moments to choose from. Literally I felt like I was being held at my heartstrings throughout this entire book. I'm so happy but also so damned frustrated that they are not a couple.

I was initially in denial but the truth is I've been shipping Remo x Kiara ever since the two of them danced during Kiara's wedding in book 2 Twisted Emotions. Kiara instinctively turned to Remo Falcone for help (and literally digs her fingernails into his skin). Remo helps her immediately without even asking even though he did not need to. <- Ever since this - I became a die hard Remo x Kiara shipper.

And the later scene where Kiara needs Remo and enters his domain and he pops up behind her and whispers in her ear absolutely did not help my shipping heart. Plus Remo is always encouraging Kiara to become stronger and stand up to him. He gives her so much advice, always reassures her that she is safe with him and encourages it when she voices her own opinions and fights back. She eventually does by the end of the book and even shoves Remo which made Remo happy & proud. AT THIS POINT CAN THEY GET ANY MORE WHOLESOME, PURE AND MEANT TO BE?

Kiara is really the only one besides Nino that understands Remo's emotions. She is always taking care of him and making sure he is ok. Seriously it's fucking adorable. And they are always sharing food! Kiara always finishes the half-eaten cookies and muffins that Remo had bitten into.

And they always do this silent communication thing. Like Kiara just needs to look at Remo and he knows what she is thinking. And she knows that Remo will understand what she meant just through the look. My heart is gone.



They have such a healthy relationship with so much emotional complexity, mutual support and growth. Remo helps Kiara become stronger and braver. Kiara helps Remo deal with his softer emotions and get a better grasp on his humanity. I just - do I need to say more about why this is the best ship of the century??

Remo also clearly has a soft spot for Kiara. When Kiara gets angry because of Serafina's kidnapping and wants to see her, Remo doesn't retaliate. He initially forbids her from going to see Serafina but then when Kiara stands in front of him and asks with her literal big brown eyes he just melts and agrees.

^And all these are just the moments from Twisted Emotions and Twisted Pride. I haven't even started on the moments between Kiara x Remo in Twisted Bonds yet and boy do we have plenty here! There are too many amazing moments and I'll list them here.



Awesome Remo x Kiara moments in Twisted Bonds:
1. Comforting each other when they are down & sharing their fears
Kiara comforts Remo on the terrace when he is brooding, alone. Kiara also confesses her desire to have kids and her worries about whether her kids would be accepted. A couple that actually talks about their deep fears and anxieties - how much more healthy can their dynamics get?

2. Fabiano noticing that Remo has a soft spot for Kiara
When Remo says he doesn't like sweet things and finishes only half a cookie, Kiara as usual eats the rest of the cookie for Remo. Fabiano sees Remo looking at Kiara and he laughs and says to Remo "I thought you didn't like sweet things" (referring to Kiara, not the cookie). Fabiano clearly SEES that Remo has a soft spot for Kiara and he teases Remo about it. I'm just going to say that it's a sign when even your friends are noticing it.

3. Remo comforting Kiara when she finds out she is not pregnant
Remo holds her ankle, sits on the floor with her and even suggests to be her sperm donor if Nino is the one who cannot conceive. I'M ARGH SO DEAD I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP.



HOW ARE THEY NOT TOGETHER? HOW? KILL ME NOW !!!!!



THEY NEED TO BE TOGETHER. It's a fucking tragedy that they will never be together. I REPEAT THEY NEED TO BE TOGETHER.

4. Remo sharing Kiara's whiskey/rum
Remo drinking Kiara's half-finished whiskey/rum from her cup when he was comforting her. It's a parallel from when Kiara always finishes eating Remo's half eaten cookies. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

5. Kiara telling Remo she cares about him
Kiara visiting Remo after he was tortured and showing him how worried and relieved he is back. Remo (who hates mushy situations) tries to deflect this and suggests she was only worried for Nino's sake. Kiara immediately disagrees - she tells Remo she cares for him for much more than that. She cares for who Remo is as a person and would have been devastated if he died.

6. Kiara fussing over the injured Remo
Kiara fussed and was worried about Remo when he was healing from the injuries. She knows Remo's favourite sandwich is Pastrami and makes it for him. Then also manages to convince Remo to lie down and he agrees to do so because he has a literal soft spot for Kiara.

7. Remo thinks Kiara would be a good mother
Remo at one point tells Nino that he knows that Kiara will be a good mother. This seems insignificant but it's actually massively significant because Remo has issues with women and doesn't trust any of them to be good mothers (except maybe Serafina). The fact that he thinks Kiara would be a good mom is extremely high praise coming from Remo.

8. Kiara telling Remo that she will protect him from the world
Kiara hugs Remo and tells him she doesn't care if the world hates him and she'll always protect him from the world. Remo then replying that he only cares about what people like her think and he couldn't care less about the world.

9. Remo making out to the sounds of Kiara having sex
Kiara finds out that Remo and Serafina made out after hearing Kiara having sex. Kiara was all embarrassed about it - and this is kinky shit.

10. The way they look at each other
Kiara and Remo are always looking at each other. I repeat they are always watching each other and communicating via looks!

There's something undeniably special about the bond between Kiara and Remo. I don't know how to explain it. They just understand each other so well, and they are always pushing each other to become better people. It's seriously the healthiest thing I've ever read - they actually are so good together and both benefit from this relationship.

I also seriously swear that Kiara understands Remo better than Serafina ever could. If none of the above has made this obvious, I absolutely *do not* ship Remo with Serafina. Remo and Serafina are just so goddamn toxic together - they basically had a fling, had kids and now are together since they are responsible parents. They ended up together because of lust and the kids. Remo x Serafina doesn't even HOLD A CANDLE to the beautiful understanding, trust, respect, support that Remo and Kiara have together.



ARGH I'M SO ANGRY THAT REMO & KIARA WILL NEVER HAPPEN WHEN THEY ARE CLEARLY PERFECT TOGETHER.

Yes, I know that Remo and Kiara are the most loyal people in the world and a relationship between them will never happen because Nino.

And ok I will also l admit that Nino and Kiara are great together as well - very healthy. And for sure I absolutely *do not* want Kiara to come between the brothers in a love triangle nonsense.

However, there's a part of me that wished that they...shared Kiara? Sounds messed up but if you think about it - Nino and Remo are like a unit. They are like two halves of the same coin and two sides of the same moon. One cannot exist without the other and all that stuff. And they are so close that honestly it doesn't push the limits of my imagination that they may be ok about it. Seriously I actually want to see a three-way between Nino x Kiara x Remo. Kiara should be with BOTH Nino and Remo at the same time because she is great with both of them.

And also I know what people are going to say: didn't Kiara tell Remo she loved him like a brother in this book? Doesn't that make your ship invalid? No, no and no I say!

Think about it - Kiara was hugging Remo and telling him she loved him. If she was doing that, of course she HAD to say "as a brother". If she didn't say "as a brother" then that would be a betrayal of Nino. And obviously Remo and Kiara would rather die than betray Nino. But just because Remo and Kiara are dead loyal doesn't mean there isn't any deeply buried and unaddressed chemistry and sexual tension between the two. BECAUSE THERE IS.

And also if you compare Kiara x Remo with Kiara x Savio/Adamo/Fabiano you can clearly see the difference. Savio, Adamo and Fabiano are the ones who are like brothers to Kiara. With Remo it is so much more than that. Remo x Kiara have a connection between two humans and two souls. It's truly special.

All in all - I will go down with the Kiara x Remo ship.

And please Cora...I don't know how but can you find a way to let Kiara and Remo end up together?

I'm also listing this scene from Twisted Emotions where Kiara dances with Remo (and meets him for the first time). This is literally the scene that made me ship the two of them. It's a key scene but this is only 1 out of the 289278 Kiara x Remo moments from the three books.

It starts off with Kiara dancing with Remo during her wedding:

His fingers closed around my hand with less pressure than I had expected, and his other hand gently touched my back and pulled me against him. My body clenched, my breathing caught in my throat. I had to hold in a gasp. He led me along to the music, but my trembling didn’t make it easy for him. He tightened his hold on me, bringing us closer, and I exhaled sharply at the feel of his hard body against mine.

My fingers on his bicep began slipping as I fought against the impending panic attack.

“Look at me,” he ordered.

I couldn’t.

“Look at me.” A low murmur full of command, and I finally met his gaze. His expression wasn’t angry, more assessing, as if he was sizing me up. “This is dancing. Don’t make it into something more than that because you let your imagination run free.”

I was momentarily startled. He sounded a lot like Nino; maybe he hid his intelligence behind his layers of violence.

“Now pretend you are a happy bride. This is a day of celebration,” he said, and his own lips formed a scary smile.

I tried my best to relax in his hold, to make my face look pleasant, but I wasn’t sure if I succeeded. I counted the seconds till the end of the song, but when it finally ended, Uncle Durant appeared at our side and terror from the past took hold of me. I dug my nails into Remo, clinging to him, undoubtedly leaving marks with my fingernails.

“I would like to dance with my niece now,” Uncle Durant said to Remo, but his eyes were on me, full of knowledge and triumph as always.

He hadn’t touched me since those nights. I clutched Remo tightly, looking up at him. His dark eyes regarded me, narrowing ever so slightly. Please don’t let me dance with him. The words didn’t leave my mouth. Durant reached for me, but Remo angled us so he was between my uncle and me.

Remo turned his gaze to my uncle, but he didn’t let go of me. “I can’t allow that unfortunately. My brother wants her back at his side.”

“It’s tradition in the Famiglia,” Uncle Durant said. “Maybe you don’t care about traditions over in Vegas, but here we do.”

Remo’s lips pulled wider, and I realized then that his smiles for me had been genuine; he was being nice. This smile had a sinister feel to it. “We honor our traditions as well. In Vegas, it’s tradition that I cut out the tongues of people who annoy the fuck out of me. If you insist on your traditions, I will have to insist on mine. And your tongue will look good in my collection.”

Uncle Durant’s face turned red. His angry gaze settled on me briefly, and I pressed into Remo, but then my uncle moved away.

“You can release me now,” Remo muttered.

I unfastened my hold and stepped back, ashamed. Remo held onto my hand, not allowing me to go. His thumb pressed against my wrist in a similar way like Nino had.

“What was that?” Remo asked in a low, dangerous voice.

“Nothing. I don’t like him.”

“That was not dislike, Kiara,” he said, still in that terrifying voice. His fingers pressed harder into my wrist. I risked a peek at him. His eyes were narrowed at me, as if he could see into the deepest, darkest corners of my soul. “Dislike wouldn’t have made you seek protection in my arms, trust me.”

“I didn’t—”

“Don’t lie to me. I am your Capo now.”

Nothing would make me reveal my secret, not even Remo’s terrifying scowl. “I didn’t ask for your protection,” I whispered.

He stepped closer, and I cringed. “You begged me for protection. Unlike Nino, I have no trouble reading your emotions.”

Can I be honest
I do love REMO AND KIARA
BUT THE WAY I LOVE NINO AND KIARA always hits different.
Remo was there for her in the beginning, Likewise Nino always did tooo
But occasionally if Kiara and Remo would have been couple I know Remo would support her But the amount of backbone and confidence developed by Nino for her can never be compared.
The high imposing of Remo telling Kiara being strong would have made her lead her to a major downfall of the pressure.She needed someone like Nino.And Nino needed someone like her.
Remo may have developed delicate if they were the couple,But the amount of strength and comfort at the beginning can be comparitively less given by remo because Kiara changed his ideology little by the confidence developed with her by her Nino.
A strong force is required by Remo.Which I think fina is best for.
Kiara is strong and delicately beautiful which would suit Nino the best.
I honestly love them both in both ways
But I just can't imagine remo and Kiara as a couple
Because they would be far beautiful as a sister brother relation.
Which is meant to be.

I honestly believe Cora was once tempted by their ship as well.

But, I understand Cora's final decision for NinoxKiara and RemoxSerafina.

Remo and Kiara's relationship became healthy and beautiful and it's absolutely because of Nino. Nino was their buffer. Remo was very assertive and pushy about his opinion that Kiara must be much stronger as if it's easy, which was not adequate at all for a severely traumatized Kiara. His approach and attitude was helpful only after Kiara gained some strength thanks to Nino’s endless support.

Kiara needed patience, understanding, support, love, and then Nino gave her all. That's how Kiara gained power to become a woman Remo felt proud of. She triumphed in her journey with Nino by her side and that’s how she became Remo’s true family. Their love, trust, protectiveness is based on their family unification linked by Nino, their beloved brother and husband. This makes Remo is best for her as a brother, who can support her with Nino's dedicated love.

Remo is more complicated character than Nino. Nino can give Kiara his undivided attention and love, which Kiara needed for her journey, but Remo is Capo. He has a kingdom to rule and protect, which necessitates very strong partner who can match with his brutality and harshness. Remo grew soft spot for Kiara and he also said that he cared for her as a family, but women he can be soft for is not what he wants or needs for his mate or partner. It’s satisfying to watch for readers that such strong men can be soft for women but Remo NEEDS someone who possesses same fierceness enough to face his monster, because that monster is how he rules and protects his kingdom.

Furthermore, Remo needed someone who didn't require others between him and her. No interference. No buffer. There should be only him and her.

So there’s Serafina. The one who was thrown before Remo with no help, no support, no buffer. She faced his monster. Alone. Endured his cruelty. Torture. Madness. Her only armor and weapon was her pride, protectiveness for her loved ones, her cunning intelligence, and bravery to embrace madness. She was strong af, not in the delicate way, but in the brutal way just as Remo. That made her the match for Remo. Serafina’s own journey of becoming Falcones was a testament for her strength, and that’s what Remo never imagined for female species.

I think Cora was very wise to make Serafina and Remo's relationship as enemy to lover because that showed how Serafina didn't step back from Remo's every bullshit no matter how he acted cruel as an enemy to her. Kiara was protected from Remo's bullshit from the beginning as Nino's wife, so they could safely build up their trust, which was the best way for Kiara. But Serafina and Remo's relationship started from hell and miraculously ended in 100% trust (which is clarified in "Twisted Hearts"), because they created their own bond with lots of bleeding, pains, and sacrifice on both ends.

Maybe Serafina is not as delicate as Kiara when it comes to handle someone's emotions, but she handles them with what she thinks is needed. She’s compassionate and soft toward Kiara and female friends, but she doesn’t go soft for her man, understanding what he needs. Remo is not the one who needs someone who softly takes care of him. That's just not Remo. He decided to live with his madness and fucked up mind and is strong af to do it. He was touched by and knew how to appreciate Kiara's care and lovey-dovey approach, but again, that's not what he looks for in his life. Actually, that's what Nino needed since he was the sophisticated and delicate one who had to block his feelings so as not to get hurt anymore. Kiara's nature was perfect match for Nino in this sense.

Remo didn't block pain like Nino but devours pain. Thrives in pain. For him, healthy and healing compassion is not what he hopes for. His need is more rooted in living hand to hand with monster in him. He is Capo. He is the Madman. He needs someone who can live with madness. The reason he thought he would never have a woman by his side was that he thought there would be no woman dares his monster. Then he met Serafina, who conquered his quests designed to destroy her.

The biggest difference between Kiara and Serafina when it comes to their relationships with Remo, Kiara became loving him because of him, and Serafina became loving him not only because of him but in spite of him. In spite of how much pain he inflicted to her. There's no reason Kiara should not love Remo because he's the best brother in the world. But there's no reason Serafina should love Remo, but she still fell in love with Remo. That fazed and shook Remo’s world.

So I have to say, I hard disagree to your opinion that Kiara understands Remo better than Serafina ever could. That’s very hurtful understatment of Serafina.

Serafina was the one who faced Remo’s cruelest nature and she walked through the ruin destroyed and destructed by his madness with her bare feet.

Serafina's will and spirit make Remo think she can be Capo if that's allowed in their world, and I don't know who else is capable of gaining such unbelievable respect from Remo. "Serafina was everything. Cunning and strong. Loyal and fierce. She could have been Capo if women were allowed that place in our world". If Remo, the most misogynistic character, says such things to a woman, she is meant to be his fate.

And needless to say, Serafina SAVED and PROTECTED him against the world, when everyone else didn't know how to save him. When everyone thought that’s unfathomable. Remo burned for his family, but Serafina was the one who burned for him. There's literally no comparison to her action. And Remo knows it.

I understand why some people want Remo to change and get soft. But Remo is not a gentleman. He doesn't need to be cured and changed into a gentleman. Nino can be a gentleman for Kiara's sake, but that's not Remo. Remo is a monster who decided to live as a monster. Then he found Serafina, his it, one who dares his monster, one who carries the scar that monster left. And he calls her Angel.

I think it's wonderful how Cora successfully created GentlexGenltle couple and BadassxBadass couple, which is less typical in romance worlds. It is much easier to create chemistry by accentuating contrast between two protagonists. By choosing difficult path, she created very interesting chemistry and dynamics between characters.

But if you want Cora somehow to find ways to separate RemoSerafina and pairs Kiara with Remo, I don't blame you. When you've shipped characters, I've secretly imagined Serafina truly lives her freedom without any possessive and patriarchal mafia men’s bullshit lmao.

Seriously. Remo thought Serafina should be always free and especially free from Danilo's cage. But honestly I sometimes feel like Remo somewhat caged her again, especially when he acted like the world biggest jerk to her in BFIC, though Serafina didn’t take his shit of course. I'm not sure whether we should be glad Kiara was not the one who had to deal with his shit..Being wife to Remo is certainly more than a rollercoaster for sure. I bet marriage life with Nino is like riding Bentley compared to Remo.

I admire Serafina for her strength to live with her will, her fire enough to fight with Remo's fire, so Serafina's single life would be very fulfilling and liberating to me, actually. If there's one female protagonist in Cora's world who doesn't need MMC’s love and protection to be happy and fulfilled, that's Serafina. (Kiara is kind-hearted mother hen. Being surrounded by family full of love makes her happy and fulfilled, so I don't even think about her being single.)

When female characters are described as protected by mafia men, Serafina is always the one described as protecting. I honestly can't get over how Serafina tried to protect and save Kiara and Greta in BFIC just like badass Capo when Kiara and Greta were injured because stupid mafia men were doing their stupid shits lol. When Kiara tried to think how to kindly reject her admirers, Fina just used her finger and frosty bitchy face and single-handedly took care of the situation.

Serafina is my hero, who faces brutal worlds with her equal brutality with her chin up. Her strength always gives me goosebumps. I just wish her happiness, and I believe her happiness is grounded on her freedom. So her solo badass journey without men would be extremely exhilarating, when you think about it 🤤.
