ABANDONED. Fantasy. Aardvark creature's day out. He ventures outside his barrow but is in danger of being eaten (e.g., falls into ocean with shark creature, predatory bird grabs him). But he's oblivious to the danger and enjoys the view. Read in 1990's.

I was informed to write a seperate thread for this book. I had others but an lovely lady directed me into the correct areas. I am currently looking for this 1990's childrens book

1. Set in an fantasy world. This funny looking aardvark creature decides to wonder outside his barrow for once, to take in the world around him. However during his travels he is consistently in danger of being eaten. E.g. He fell into the ocean and was about to be eaten by an horrifying looking shark creature. But a predatory bird suddenly grabs him.

Despite being nearly eaten throughout the day, he is completely oblivious to any danger and merely enjoys the view. Eventually he gets back to his barrow safety.

Kinda reminds me of Could Be Worse! but the MC is a human, not an animal.
