scarlet=shade of red=wavelength around 700 nm
cress=cabbage palnt with small white flower and pungent leaves
wniter=temperature differences in atmosphere, heat transfer from you to atmosphere

But Pansy seems more Slytherin than Hufflepuff to me. She is ambitious and determined. She isn't loyal and that's one of Hufflepuff's main trait.
