Good luck with it👍
I got approved an arc from BookSirens for The Stagsblood Prince. A gay fantasy and I was excited to read it, however I couldn't quite grasp the magic system and the plot was slow moving so.... I dnfd it.
And there was a ton of explicit scenes there too.
Guess where I was reading it?
In the living room and my parents came and sat down right next to me!🙈 Oh, the horror

OH MY GOD

why do people not understand that i might not want to share what i'm reading sometimes?

Trisha (semi-hiatus) (booksreviewsandprocrastination) | 5341 comments like why do you have to know what i'm reading, what it's about (this much is still okay, but why do you read exactly what i'm reading, exactly when i'm reading it?

Akshita | 823 comments I am always trying to hide my screen from my brother while reading.
Even if there's nothing explicit going on, you never know what the next paragraph may bring in YA novels these days.😅

Akshita | 823 comments Also the reason why Loveless by Alice Oseman has been sitting on my shelves for several months now.
I don't want to be seen reading it, especially after the reaction i got from my grandma and mother when they merely saw the book's name. 🥴

Yes, it irritates me too. Yesterday my younger cousins came over and they were constantly asking me those questions and when I wouldn't give them a proper answer (because in terrible at explaining a book's plot in a way that is capable for mortals to understand) they started looking over my shoulder and I was like.... CAN I READ IN PRIVATE PLEASE?! (Ofc I couldn't tell them that but I certainly blew a gasket, hehe)

We shall have to protect GR lest it be invaded by worrisome parents😐
My weapon of choice:"🥺"
even though it totally doesn't work for me irl XD and I can never do it as well as my little sis.
I swear she's a demon with the power of compulsion!

I prefer the direct approach anyways🙃

But it's always necessary to talk about books. BOOKS. ARE. MY. LIFE! It's a good thing I have friends like you all whom I can talk to about these things since you'll understand bookish troubles and fangirling <3

Akshita | 823 comments Also, yesterday i was thinking, and a question popped up in my head:

Who do you guys think is more villainous?
1) Someone who acknowledges that what they're doing is wrong, but keeps doing it anyway for reasons.
2) Someone who refuses to believe that their actions are evil, and thinks that whatever they're doing is the right thing.
