i forgot to mention the actions of the ic in my message, so:
i can definitely see where you're coming from and i do think that they really thought it to be the best way to help nesta. well, at least feyre and cassian, we all know rhys and amren are currently not that fond of her and az and mor... who even knows. but yeah, their intentions were good. it was a difficult situation because nesta didn't want help.
however, i still think that taking her choice away was wrong. for me personally, independence, freedom and being able to choose are extremely important and they took that from her. (hide spoiler)]

but nesta, who is like the most stubborn character, was so hellbent on wasting away, that i can't say that i wouldn't have done the same with any of my siblings or friends, by pushing them a bit too forcefully (because it was a bit too forceful, usually if you see like addiction handled anywhere (not saying nesta had an addiction, but probably behaved the same way like she did with sex, drinks, and (can't remember the third thing, there were three i remember), you have to wean them off....you can't just decide one day with like no you stop here (I used to read a lot of sherlock fanfics) you have to slowly wean it off)

so they should probably have been a bit slower (if that makes sense), but then again, this is nesta we're talking about. reading her POV, she's adamant that the world is out to get her, especially the inner circle, and she feels betrayed by elain. i think if the inner circle had tried a less harsh approach, nesta would never have believed them,, and i honeslty can fault her for that. she hasn't been given to many reaosns to trust the inner circle in the first place, and while she does believe at some level that they are good people, and want the best for everyone (except her, at least that's what she believes) she can't come to terms with it that they don't hate her (hide spoiler)]

it's not compulsory, but neither do you get arcs through email..

you need to either download the netgalley shelf app (which is your best bet, really)
or the Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) app
or register your kindle account, through which you can send the arc to your kindle email
or download the ade software on your computer

arcs are pretty good, though some of the best ones are sometimes not available because they are only in the us or soemthing....but its good, if you decide to go with it!
