This can be any sequel to any series - I know I have a bunch of series that I've started and not read past the first book.

Marie | 8 comments Moonflower Murders (Anthony Horowitz) because Magpie Murders was fantastic but I have been saving the sequel to be a 2021 read.

Nikki (mnnikki) | 164 comments I'll have to find the right time for this huge book, but I bought it so I will read it...going for The Obelisk Gate by N.K. Jemisin for this one.

Mio (mio_tokiwa) | 8 comments I will be reading "The War I Finally Won" by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley. I love the first book but I have not picked up the second one even though it is in my "waiting-to-be-read" pile.

Suzanne Halekas | 36 comments I think this one will probably have to be Theodosia and the Eyes of Horus by R.L. LaFevers (middle grade). My kids love these, but I feel like they read a little long, so I never want to do them back to back.

Heather | 12 comments I have to really think about this. I'm not sure I've read a first book of a series since childhood and at that point, I ripped through the series.

Amber | 22 comments The Prisoner in the Castle by Susan Elia MacNeal. Completed 11 Jan 2021.

Maggie was raised in America but returns to England when she inherits a family home. World War II begins and she ends up serving in various war efforts, including the S.O.E. which trains spies to infiltrate Germany and France. In this book of the series, she has been imprisoned on a remote Scottish island with other failed agents because she knows too much. As prisoners and staff are killed by an unknown murderer and a storm makes the island inaccessible, Maggie has to find out who is killing the others and why. Before she is the next victim!
