This book was read to me in elementary school in the early 2000s. I remember it being a small chapter book, possibly with a blue cover.
I also remember it being set in Italy or in europe somewhere.
The main point I remember is about the orchestra performing their show. At the end of the performance the first violinist stands, but leaves the stage before applause beings so that all of the applause goes to the conductor.
