The group voted to read the Food & Cookbook nominee 100 Cookies: The Baking Book for Every Kitchen, with Classic Cookies, Novel Treats, Brownies, Bars, and More in January. The winner for this genre was Modern Comfort Food: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. Have you read any of the other nominees for this award? Which have you read and what did you think? Which was your favorite?

Do you plan to read any of them in the future? How about setting up a buddy read of one that you are interested in this month? Use this thread to discuss and find a buddy!

Schedule buddy reads here, then set up a separate thread to discuss.

The 100 Cookie book looks good, but my library doesn't have it and I likely won't buy it. I am interested to see what the rest of the group thinks of it.

I plan to check out Skinnytaste Meal Prep. I am waiting on my library hold to become available.

I also wanted to check out Gordon Ramsay Quick and Delicious, but my library didn't have it. I used the 'look inside' feature on Amazon to take a quick peek and decided it was another that I would not be purchasing. If it was at the library, I would still want to look through it though.

I might be interested in Evolving Vegan and True Comfort as I'm trying to eat less meat and sugar, but again only if my library has them.

Vicki Willis | 1033 comments I am probably going to order the Skinnytaste Meal Prep: Healthy Make-Ahead Meals and Freezer Recipes to Simplify Your Life: A Cookbook
I follow her blog and use a lot of her recipes. They are usually easy to make with foods my family likes to eat and on the healthier side.
I have some of her other cookbooks and they are great.

Jayme I have Modern Comfort Food: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook and Oh She Glows for Dinner: Nourishing Plant-Based Meals to Keep You Glowing on hold at the library. I have recently discovered Angela's blog and like her meal prep suggestions.
I am interested in Evolving Vegan: Deliciously Diverse Recipes from North America's Best Plant-Based Eateries—for Anyone Who Loves Food, but my library doesn't carry it. Debating on whether or not to buy it.

I just put in a request for Oh She Glows for Dinner: Nourishing Plant-Based Meals to Keep You Glowing from my library. My library doesn't carry Evolving Vegan or True Comfort.

I may end up purchasing Skinnytaste Meal Prep too. I have it on hold through my library, but if it has a lot of recipes that I want to try I'll just end up purchasing. I also own a couple of her previous books.

I'm going to read "Ottolenghi Flavor"

Brianna | 3 comments I have several of these on hold at my library. I just read Gordon Ramsay Quick and Delicious: 100 Recipes to Cook in 30 Minutes or Less and while some of the recipes looked good, it just isn't my quite my cooking style. Earlier in the year I read Vegetable Kingdom: The Abundant World of Vegan Recipes and loved it. I picked up some really fantastic recipes from it and loved how it had new-to-me recipes rather than the pretty typical rehash of vegan recipes that seem to be in a lot of cookbooks.

I'm going to read the 100 Cookies: The Baking Book for Every Kitchen, with Classic Cookies, Novel Treats, Brownies, Bars, and More book as well as Evolving Vegan: Deliciously Diverse Recipes from North America's Best Plant-Based Eateries—for Anyone Who Loves Food as soon as I can but wow the waitlist at my library is long! I'm not really interested in reading the winner for this category but we will see how the year goes.

I have a copy of Oh She Glows for Dinner: Nourishing Plant-Based Meals to Keep You Glowing from my library. I am looking forward to checking it out.

I'm still waiting on my hold for Skinnytaste Meal Prep: Healthy Make-Ahead Meals and Freezer Recipes to Simplify Your Life: A Cookbook, but it should be available soon.

My diet has changed recently, so I'm hoping I can find some good recipes that I can still use or at lest modify.

I couldn't either, Savanes. I was fortunate to have a copy gifted to me.
