Whodunnit? Miss Strangeworth's Roses

2. Who did it? Who destroyed Miss Strangeworth's roses? Why (motive)? How (opportunity)?

Here's what I think:

I think that everyone worked together. However, I think Don (and Helen), Dave, and Linda led it.

Dave and Linda probably took it to Don and told him that it was from Miss Strangeworth. Don would read it. I think if Don asked around, he'd learn that a bunch of people received similarly written "letters" on colored paper with childish handwriting. I think as long as Don et al. asked around, they'd find out that all the hurt and drama was caused by a meddlesome old lady. Then the whole town would get their retribution through the destruction of Miss Strangeworth's prized roses and through the irony of a letter that's an exact copy of the one's Miss Strangeworth had sent out.
