I made a mistake and got an audio version of Breasts and Eggs. It's very well done, but my mind doesn't work with audiobooks, I just miss so much and never feel like I have a hold on the contents at all. Non-fiction is fine, I can follow what happens, but the literary feel of it, the writing style, is lost to me because my dumb brain doesn't work in aural. So I've read a few chapters of the book with my eyes, but I'll be going into tomorrow with only a vague idea of what happened and a few chapters' worth of solid footing.

Mina (minaphillips) | 56 comments Looks I've got to work through Breasts and Eggs before the 23rd. Weekend project.

Mindy Jones (mindyrecycles) | 3 comments I feel like I've tried just as hard as I did any other year, but this time around I've had much more difficulty keeping up with tournament reads. But here are my "stats" if you will.

Finished in order of preference:

Deacon King Kong
We Ride Upon Sticks
Tender Is the Flesh
Interior Chinatown
Leave the World Behind
A Children’s Bible
Sharks in the Time of Saviors
Telephone
The Down Days
Luster
Breasts and Eggs
Transcendent Kingdom
Memorial

In progress:

Shuggie Bain
The Vanishing Half
Red Pill

Didn't attempt:

The Resisters
Piranesi

Mina (minaphillips) | 56 comments (12) completed for the tournament and feeling good about it. First first time in a few years I've read both the finalists.
