I feel like I've tried just as hard as I did any other year, but this time around I've had much more difficulty keeping up with tournament reads. But here are my "stats" if you will.Finished in order of preference:
Deacon King Kong
We Ride Upon Sticks
Tender Is the Flesh
Interior Chinatown
Leave the World Behind
A Children’s Bible
Sharks in the Time of Saviors
Telephone
The Down Days
Luster
Breasts and Eggs
Transcendent Kingdom
Memorial
In progress:
Shuggie Bain
The Vanishing Half
Red Pill
Didn't attempt:
The Resisters
Piranesi
(12) completed for the tournament and feeling good about it. First first time in a few years I've read both the finalists.

I made a mistake and got an audio version of Breasts and Eggs. It's very well done, but my mind doesn't work with audiobooks, I just miss so much and never feel like I have a hold on the contents at all. Non-fiction is fine, I can follow what happens, but the literary feel of it, the writing style, is lost to me because my dumb brain doesn't work in aural. So I've read a few chapters of the book with my eyes, but I'll be going into tomorrow with only a vague idea of what happened and a few chapters' worth of solid footing.
