(preface: honestly, I should've posted this much much sooner, there's details I've forgotten and there wasn't too many in the first place. Sorry in advance!!)
My aunt was the one that mentioned it to me, christmastime last year ironically enough. Luckily I wrote everything i could remember down a few months ago, so i'll put details down in the categories "true" and "possibly true"
TRUE:
-fantasy
-7 protagonists with various abilities
-one of them can transform into a wolf
POSSIBLY TRUE:
-one antagonist
-trilogy
-relatively recently written (2018-19, possibly earlier)

unfortunately, my aunt didn't say. I assume it was most likely a teen/YA series, but i just don't really have any other info to share....

ok, earlier my aunt said that the series is a trilogy, so I'll add that to the header and the introductory post. Will make the necessary steps (move to solved and whatnot) if my aunt figures out the name.

wow, i was WAY off. my aunt did some looking and found out it was actually the Guardians trilogy by Nora Roberts. so, mystery solved.... its a shame, i'm not really a fan of romance novels.
