Lily Rose Dorothea | 1454 comments I shall second Emma and nominate An Old-Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott

Emma | meadowroselibrary 😊🤗

message 25: by Joanna (new)

Joanna I think I'm going to change my nomination, because it occurred to me that February is Longfellow's birth month and we were planning to read something by him then, like we did for Hawthorne back in July! 😊 So...I think I shall nominate A Country Doctor by Sarah Orne Jewett!

🤣 It's just that I thought maybe I shouldn't nominate something by Longfellow this month since next month will be all Longfellow!

Emma | meadowroselibrary OH I GET IT NOW!!!!!!!

Emma | meadowroselibrary I was SOO confused because I thought you were saying you were going to nominate a book by Longfellow, then you were nominating Jewett...🤨🤣🤣🤣🤣

Marian (classicsconsidered) I've been a bit AWOL since our last Longfellow, but I'm intrigued by these nominations! I might try to join in January... I haven't read any of them yet. :D
