17. A book that has the same title as a song - Somebody's Daughter The song I found matching it is by Tenille Townes and while about a different phenomena, does align with this memoir at some points.

42. The shortest book (by pages) on your TBR list - Don't Call Us Dead It was short, but the poems offered a powerful punch.

Just completed #25 (published anonymously) - My Brilliant Friendby Elena Ferrante, translated by Ann Goldstein. I did not enjoy this novel. The roundabout prose, unlikeable characters, and meandering plot were dissatisfying. I appreciate the time period the author sought to convey. But the friendship at the center of the story seemed too extreme. The last quarter was a bit better, but I won’t be continuing with the series. 2.5 stars

Just completed prompt for longest book on tbr - Solar Federation by S. E. Mulholland. Definitely glad I stumbled across this book. It could have benefitted from editing and some of the phrases are cringy. And editing would have helped with the length - over 1000 pages is a lot! However, it provides an interesting exploration of the dangers of fanaticism, both from a monarchist and those seeking utopia at all costs. I’ll be thinking about this one for awhile. Definitely recommend! 4 stars

Just completed #20 (BLM list) - Long Division by Kiese Laymon. This book was strange. I admire people who try something different, but there has to be some sort of pay-off for that to work. I kept looking for the spot where it would make sense, and it just wasn’t there for me. Writing was ok but incredibly circular. Not one I would recommend. 2.5 stars
