I read this book a few years ago and can't remember what it is! It took place in New England - a writer returns to his hometown. His dead friend starts communicating with him in Old English via the computer. Sounds cheesy, but it was actually great. Can anyone help?

Do you mean actual Old English, or do you just mean old-fashioned sounding English?
The dead friend communicates through actual Old English. Good question, though...
