Michelle Aguilar | 8 comments I read this book this year within the past 3 months I believe. I am not sure if it was new but it seemed like it. Two sisters born in the lowest/poorest level, the younger sister is happy being a worker while the older sister fantasizes about being chosen by the higher level(wealthy families). When the people get to a certain age a person(seer?) goes on to predict ability strength and type. The older sister goes and needs to take her younger sister and she ends up having a possible ability in her children but both of them are taken in by a MEAN mid-level family. The younger sister is seen later by the seer and predicted to have very strong abilities. She is sold off to another family. Both of them have to get married in order to create a "stronger" family ability bloodline.
That's all I remember.

Michelle, what type of work is done by the sisters and their parents?

Can you describe the special powers or magical abilities?

Rainbowheart | 28705 comments Don't give up! We've only been looking a few weeks. Sometimes books can take months or even years to be found.

Were the sisters in the story teenagers or younger children? What happened to their parents? Why were they taken in by the mid-level family?

Michelle Aguilar | 8 comments They were teens, I believe the parents accept if they're taken because its supposed to be a "better life." They were taken by the mid-level family because they had abilities but not powerful enough for the top families to care.
