Completed 3 of 6:✔1. St. Joseph: Where people live a simple life and do not have a luxurious lifestyle or read a book about royalty.
Claire of the Sea Light by Edwidge Danticat
Hi Adriana,I just finished my second book for this challenge.
5. St. Therese of Lisieux: Therese had always wanted to be a saint but when she compared herself to all of the other saints, she felt the differences between them were so great. She believed that God wouldn't make her wish for something impossible, so she decided to accept herself and all of her faults. Read a story where the main character struggles with and overcomes his or her own faults, whether they be physical, emotional, personality or other faults. Harvesting the Heart Paige definitely struggles with emotional faults, as she thinks she isn't a good mother and runs away to find herself.
I'll try to do all 10.1. Read a book about music, or someone who is falsely accused of something.
2.
3.
Dry - Augusten Burroughs
4. Read a book about slavery or read a book that takes place in Ireland.
5.

Jodi wrote: "Kimberly, how did you like "Of Mice and Men"? I have wanted to read it for a wile now."I loved it. It is a short book with a lot of wonderful details. You should definitely move it to the top of your to-read list.
Finished 1/3#2. Saint Francis of Assisi The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Definitely Dr Jekyll gave into evil every time he became Mr Hyde.
Please update message 7Read a story where the main character struggles with and overcomes his or her own faults, whether they be physical, emotional, personality or other faults. The Girl on the Train read 9/2/15 Rachel struggles with alcohol. 3/5
I read The Shining for #6, a book about a paranormal being.1/10.
Reading Chasing The Dime by Michael Connelly next for #8, a book about prostitution.
Jodi,I agree with you on your spoiler so that's why I liked it but didn't love the book. The second one was much better in my opinion especially since it had a different POV.
2. St. Francis of Assisi: Early in his life Francis lead a crowd of young people who spent their lives in wild parties, giving into their vices and surrounding themselves with evil. When he was 25, God came to him in a dream and he turned over a new leaf. Francis became a lover of nature, where he felt all of nature and the animals in it were part of his brotherhood. Read a book where the main characters give into their vices or evil or read a book where nature or animals is an important part of the story.
3/5 stars
UPDATED - Going for 3 after all. 2/3 completed.I've completed one - American Sniper for #3 about a fierce battle.
I read Wreckage by Emily Bleeker for #10 about suffering. There were both highs and lows for the characters but I would say they suffered quite a bit. It was a pretty good read though.
Just completed #6 St. Cecelia (paranormal) - The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan. While I appreciate the complex world that Riordan has built, I was a little irritated to start reading and realize that this book built on the Percy Jackson series. I kept reading to finish the book but now have to go back and finish the Jackson series to truly understand everything that occurred in the book. I enjoyed the suspense built in for the rest of this series. 3.5 stars6/5
I completed my first one, number 8 - araanged marriage with Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns. So it's 1/?.

The latter title was given to Dominic after two boys filled the school stove full of garbage and snow and falsely blamed Dominic. Dominic was punished in front of the entire class but he did not tell on the two boys. Dear God, I loved it so much. There were a few things that I wasn't expecting at all. One thing absolutely tore me apart. (I almost cried. And I never cry.) Overall, it was an emotional roller coaster ride. I'm really happy with the way things turned out.
And I also like how the Blackthorns & Emma Carstairs play an important part in this story.
Definitely read it when you get the chance.
5. Read a story where the main character struggles with and overcomes his or her own faults, whether they be physical, emotional, personality or other faults.Sense and Sensibility - 2/17
Finished 2! (still haven't decided where to put A Storm of Swords)
Just completed #2 St. Francis (vices) - The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters. While I appreciate the scope of the book, it fell flat for me. It had a very slow start and pace, I did not connect with the characters, and the author spent more time describing all of the emotions the characters were having, rather than moving the story along. Good effort but not my fav. 2.5 stars7/5
I read Oogy by Larry Levin for #2, a book where animals are an important part of the story and Crank by Ellen Hopkins for #10, a book that contains some kind of suffering. 3/10
Completed Landline for #5 - Read a story where the main character struggles with and overcomes his or her own faults, whether they be physical, emotional, personality or other faults.Total 4/5
3/4!2. Read a book where nature or animals is an important part of the story.
Island of the Blue Dolphins - 2/18
I really couldn't decide between this and "a simple lifestyle". It doesn't get much more simple than in this book! Nature and animals are also extremely important.
Please update 2/45. Read a story where the main character struggles with and overcomes his or her own faults, whether they be physical, emotional, personality or other faults.
Me Before you by Jojo Moyes
