Tawallah | 135 comments I finished Wonder today.

I'm not sure if you can still add books for March but I read Eternitywhich could work for March H13 C1- first in series. Completed it on 31 March.

Hope you don't mind Beth and Laura, I put these in the spreadsheet.

Beth (jasonverlander) | 756 comments Spreadsheet is all updated.

So, I work at Panera Bread and I was scheduled to work from 12-6 today. By 12:45, we had had three people come in and hadn't been busy for a good three hours so I got to go home after just an hour of working. It was awesome!

message 815: by Beth (new)

Beth (jasonverlander) | 756 comments I updated the rest of the spreadsheet. Thanks for helping out Laura! I went to a baseball game today (YAY OPENING DAY) and now I'm so tired and I don't want to move haha.

message 816: by Teddie (new)

Teddie (teddieg) | 1015 comments Laura, The Bone Clocks is excellent. The book spans about 80 years and is broken into sections which take place over a few days (or years) on the timeline. Each section is told from a different character's point of view, and I enjoyed how Mitchell really changed up the cadence and vocabulary based on the character. Each of these sections is really a story in and of itself, with unique settings in place and time. Really interesting book, still thinking about different parts.

You can mark The Bone Clocks as complete!

message 817: by Laura (new)

Laura Who did you see play Beth?
No problems!

@ Teddie, It sounds really good! I want to read it

message 819: by Laura (new)

Laura cool!! I m guessing you were going for Detroit?

message 820: by Laura (new)

Laura Beth, unfortunately we can only claim a book we read in the April mini challenge for either the cover hunt or the scavenger hunt not both :(

Probably easier to keep your book with the scavenger hunt as blue covers are easy to find!

Overall it was a good read. Just be aware there are multiple povs and some repetition but overall a good read. Gave it 4*.

message 822: by Teddie (new)

Teddie (teddieg) | 1015 comments Apoorv, I really loved Wonder - the book provides a touching reset on the importance of being kind and seeing past external embellishments to the inside of people. I made it a family Book Club book - my 9 year old loved it as much as I did.

Would you please put me down for H5 C3: Three to get Deadly.

Kirsten, I've noticed that you are reading books that you aren't putting on the spreadsheet. Is there a reason for this? I've noticed they all fit the requirements. I put one on the spreadsheet but if you don't want it on there, I can take it off.

message 847: by Beth (new)

Beth (jasonverlander) | 756 comments Okay I have two books that I am going to be reading soon, and both of them are pretty solid in color and could be used in the Easter challenge. But I'm wondering if I should sacrifice the 10 points per book to put them for the covers. I suppose I wouldn't mind doing it if we were going to complete all the covers and get the 10 extra points. What do you guys think would be best for us?

what colours are they?

I 'm going to have a red one ( a plum book) soon, I m half way through the Plum book I am reading now so can move on to the red one soon. There is always coffee, and orange in the Plum books ( Bob is orange , lol)

@ Beth , regarding book switch... whatever makes the most sense and if it gets us an extra few books knocked out then , perfect!!

Looks like one of Apoorv's books can be used for the white cover
